Ast Kikorie was a location[1] in the Ast Kikorie system in the Moddell sector, a subsector of the Zuma sector in the Outer Rim Territories.[2] Prior to the Battle of Endor[1] in 4 ABY,[4] Ast Kikorie was documented by Corporal Ractivelle of the Stardust unit as part of a Rebel Alliance report on the navigation of the Moddell sector in preparation for the Rebel Alliance's attack on the second Death Star.[1]

Before the Battle of Endor, the map of the Moddell sector and the accompanying reports would be archived in The Rebel Files, a central data depository containing secret rebel documents and information.[1] In 34 ABY,[5] The Rebel Files were rediscovered and ultimately given to the Resistance.[1]

Behind the scenes

Ast Kikorie was first mentioned in Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon 18, a canon magazine first released in 2015 and published by De Agostini.[6]

  3. Star Wars Galaxy Map poster. This assumes that the name "Bakura Trace," as used in Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon 18 Guide to the Galaxy: Sectors of the Galaxy, applies to the canon hyperspace route depicted on the map that matches the depiction of the Star Wars Legends route with the same name in The Essential Atlas per BlueskyLogo Jason Fry (@jasoncfry.bsky.social.) on Bluesky (post on January 3, 2025): "They are indeed the same. Same galaxy, same map. In the rare event something needs to be changed, it will be discussed. (In response to: Hi @jasoncfry.bsky.social, was hoping you could confirm for Wookieepedia purposes that the hyperspace routes depicted on the Galaxy Map given out at Celebration are intended to be the same routes as in Legends. Sorry to bother, but would make our lives much easier to have it confirmed!)" (screenshot).

  5. Since The Rebel Files were buried on the same day as the Battle of Endor, which according to Star Wars: Galactic Atlas takes place in 4 ABY, and because Star Wars: The Rebel Files establishes that The Rebel Files were rediscovered 30 years after the battle, it can be determined that The Rebel Files were uncovered in 34 ABY.
