The Assertor was an Assertor-class Star Dreadnought of the Galactic Empire, serving the Imperial Navy as the lead starship of its class. Both the Assertor and its sister ship, the Wrath, were laid down for construction at Kuat Drive Yards' Kuat shipyards before the Battle of Yavin[1] of 0 BBY.[2] At some point after that battle, the Assertor was deployed in a large battle group, which was thought to have consisted of dozens of other ships, along the border between the Mid Rim and Outer Rim Territories to support operations against the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Assertor was mentioned in the Star Wars Roleplaying sourcebook Lead by Example, which was published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2016 for the Star Wars: Age of Rebellion roleplaying game system.[1]
