During the era of the Galactic Empire, many individuals belonging to the family of the Imperial Security Bureau agent Arliz Hadrassian served alongside her within the Imperial Starfleet[1] before its dissolution in 5 ABY.[2] Hadrassian also had a brother that worked as a member of the Royal Guard that protected Emperor Sheev Palpatine until his death at the Battle of Jakku, which left his sister in possession of his helmet. When the Empire capitulated to the New Republic after its final stand on Jakku, Hadrassian became a small-time businesswoman before later becoming leader of the Amaxine warriors, a paramilitary outfit formed from surviving Imperial loyalists like herself that possessed ties with the First Order, a secretive military junta that was itself formed from ashes of the Empire's war machine that had retreated beyond known space after its collapse.[1]
In 28 ABY[2] Arliz Hadrassian mentioned how various members of her family had worked within the Imperial armada while discussing her own past services with Senator Ransolm Casterfo, who she later sold her brother's helmet to in hopes of converting him as a sympathiser for the First Order. During that same year, Hadrassian was responsible for assassinating the Populist candidate for First Senator, Tai-Lin Garr, then proceeded to commit suicide, enabling her handler, Lady Carise Sindian, to frame the Amaxines for being the sole threat to the New Republic and discourage investigations that could interfere with future plans her allies had devised to withdraw the Centrist-represented star systems from the Republic, allowing such planets to instead establish a legitimate basis for the First Order.[1]
