Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope

Arconese was the language of the Arcona species.[2] The Arcona Hem Dazon spoke Arconese while he was in Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina in Mos Eisley spaceport on the planet Tatooine[1] in 0 BBY.[3]

Behind the scenes

Arconese first appeared in the 1977 original trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.[1] It was first identified as Arconese in the video "Every Language in Star Wars" which released in 2019 on the Star Wars Kids YouTube channel.[2] The name originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity where it was first used in Alien Anthology, a 2001 supplement to the Star Wars Roleplaying Game.[4]
