- "For example, Commandant Angor was noted for his relevant and robust combat strategy classes, and often worked closely with Commandant Bedgar who instructed officer cadets on the intricacies of military administration. Together the pair were able to produce well-rounded officers who could both act in combat and undertake the bureaucracy that was inherent in leadership positions."
- ―Beaumont Kin, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire
Angor was a commandant at the Corulag Military Academy, an Imperial Academy run by the Galactic Empire on Corulag,[1] a planet in the Core Worlds.[2] The academy tended to pair training instructors based on their complementary abilities, and Angor was paired with Commandant Bedgar, as his robust combat strategy classes paired with Bedgar's lessons on the intricacies of military administration to produce well-rounded officers prepared for both the combat and bureaucracy required for the role. A file on their curriculum titled Combined Officer's Curriculum 27 was stored in the "Corulag Imperial Military Academy" section of the Imperial Archives.[1] In 35 ABY,[3] the historian Beaumont Kin mentioned Angor in[1] his[4] book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire.[1]
Behind the scenes
Angor was mentioned in the 2024 reference book Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, which was written by Dr. Chris Kempshall.[1] The character was named in reference to[5] YouTuber Tom Clark,[6] who has used the username Angor in Minecraft[7] and collaborates with fellow YouTuber[8] Ben Edgar,[9] the inspiration for Bedgar's name.[5] The pair have suggested they may cosplay as the commandants in the future.[8]

- ↑ Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire states that thirty years have passed since the end of the Galactic Civil War and months have passed since the Battle of Exegol. As Star Wars: Timelines dates the end of the war to 5 ABY and the Battle of Exegol to 35 ABY, the in-universe The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire must have been published in 35 ABY.
