The Alpha-3E "Esk" was a sub-model of the Alpha-3 Nimbus-class V-wing starfighter, which served the Republic Starfighter Corps during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. This model was equipped with ion cannons[2] as well as laser cannons.[1] The Alpha-3E "Esk" was meant to operate as an exceptional pursuit craft.[2] At least one Alpha-3E "Esk" starfighter saw combat, firing its ion cannons at a YV-865 Aurore-class freighter near a terrestrial body.[1]
