The Ak-Hurst system was an isolated[2] star system located within the Tarabba sector of the Outer Rim Territories, in grid square M-19 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] In 19 BBY,[3] during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the fleet of Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi used the Ak-Hurst system as a staging area prior to the Battle of Utapau while Kenobi scouted ahead on the planet Utapau in search of the General Grievous, the Separatist Head of State and Supreme Martial Commander of the Separatist Droid Armies. After successfully locating the Separatist leader on Utapau, Kenobi sent his astromech droid, R4-G9, in his starfighter back to the Ak-Hurst system to alert the standby fleet and his clone troopers of the 7th Sky Corps, resulting in a Republic invasion of Utapau as well as Grievous's death at Kenobi's hands.[2]
