An adjutant was a trusted assistant. In the military, they were an officer appointed as an assistant to a more senior officer. Other organizations, such as Black Sun, the Chirq Council, and the Darkwalkers, appointed adjutants.
History
Within the military of the Galactic Empire, adjutants were assigned to assist Imperial generals in command of IM-455 modular garrisons.[1] Ssssk![3] and Captain Sandrex Olotho were both adjutants for the Empire.[4]
Criminal gangs also used the position of adjutant. Guri served as adjutant to Prince Xizor,[2] while Vora Anjek served the Chirq Council as one.[5] The Darkwalkers also had an adjutant who served beneath the Underlord which gave them a degree of authority.[6]
