During the High Republic Era, a wedding was held on the world Quarzite for the brother of a Kage female and their partner. The sister felt that the event was the biggest wedding that her family had ever thrown. She eventually grew to dislike weddings after realizing that she would be expected to follow the same path in life as her brother, including marrying.[2]

By 382 BBY,[1] the sister had left her homeworld and joined the Path of the Open Hand cult and chose to take the name of Abda to symbolically distance herself from her past.[2] That year,[1] while infiltrating a pre-wedding party hosted for the E'roni Princess Xiri A'lbaran, Abda mentally recalled her brother's wedding and her feelings about it.[2]

Behind the scenes

The wedding of Abda's brother was mentioned in Convergence, a 2022 novel written by Zoraida Córdova as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase II.[2]
