Aargonar 3

Aargonar 3 was a moon in the Mid Rim. It was hotly disputed in 21 BBY during the Clone Wars. Like the planet it orbited, it was also home to a number of sarlaccs.

History

Aargonar 3 was later the location of a Rebel base wiped out by the Empire around the same time as the Battle of Yavin in the Battle of Aargonar. Some of the Rebel personnel there included Commander Hamelin and Gruu Dunrik. Cala Worner, the Rebel recruiter, also visited the base. The base was located near to the Pit, home to the moon's most well known sarlacc. This was believed by most to be the only sarlacc on the moon; however, there were in fact several others located in far more isolated areas.
