The 45th Infantry Division was a military formation in the army of the Galactic Republic active during the Sith Wars between the Republic and reconstituted Sith Empire.

History

In 3673 BBY, during the Great Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and reconstituted Sith Empire, one of the division's platoons was shot down during a battle on the planet Bomodon. Under the command of Republic Army officer Lieutenant Elin Garza, and with the support of Republic Strategic Information Service agent Marcus Trant, the platoon fought a ten-month guerrilla campaign and ultimately liberated the planet from Imperial occupation.[2]

The 45th remained active until at least 3643 BBY,[3] when it was stationed on the Mid Rim planet Ord Mantell conducting operations against a local separatist movement.[1]

Behind the scenes

The 45th Infantry was first mentioned in the Republic Trooper class story on Ord Mantell in the 2011 BioWare-LucasArts video game Star Wars: The Old Republic.[1]
