Vtech Low Battery Explained
The Low Battery Screen was taken from a Vtech V. Smile CyberPocket.
Vtech’s first Low Battery Screen appeared in 2004. This screen is about a flashing, pixelated low battery with lines rotated around it (in suspense) and the Vtech logo in the bottom right corner. In some games, the pop sound can be heard while the battery is flashing. You know, when you don’t charge (or replace) the battery for too long. This can be also used for MobiGo duology, except the fullscreen variant
Other Low Battery Screens
This was taken from a Vtech V.Reader (Storio in PAL).
Another low battery screen is the Vtech V.Reader (Storio in PAL). The V.Reader (Storio in PAL) and the InnoTab trilogy (known as Storio 2 in Europe and French candian) has a low battery that’s blue at the top right corner when it’s low. But when the battery is really low, the reader says “See you next time!” Or “Let’s play again soon!” etc. The same catchphrase can be heard if powered off
The Low Battery Screen as it is seen in the Tote & Go Laptop (originally released in Europe in 2002)
The Low Battery Screen is the same as the Thomas & Friends: Learn & Explore Laptop, Tote & Go Laptop Plus and many more, which the screen has a lightning bolt and a battery surrounded my sparks in the screen, blinking 3 times (2 times on Thomas and the first 2 Tote and Go laptops) before the laptop turns off. This was debuted in the 90s in the Talking Whiz Kid series, this is same as Dora the Explorer: Dora's Laptop, Sparkle, Tote 'n Go Laptop (2009), etc.
There is a different low battery screen used in Princess: Carriage Laptop, the Cars: Lightning McQueen Learning Laptop (All 2 versions), and the Tote & Go Laptop Web
There is a way different low battery screen used in the Playhouse Disney laptops, except for Little Einsteins: Blast-Off Learning Laptop which used the first version.
In 2011, they changed to the ripple one, this can't be used on Dora the Explorer: Dora Carnival Time Laptop and Mini Laptop as the toy's software was made before 2011.
In 2014, they revamped the low battery screen, same as the Cars: Lightning McQueen Learning Laptop but without the princess background.
On earlier models and screenless toys, it will slow down in pitch.
