Zygerrian Alliance

The Zygerrian Alliance was a Zygerrian organization of merchants and enslavers that existed during the High Republic Era. Publicly, it was only interested in "legitimate business," keeping its work in slavery a secret.^[1] Having once ruled a slaving empire,^[2] Zygerrians were known to have a reputation as enslavers in the galaxy.^[1]

A male Twi'lek spicerunner named Bala Waleen from the planet Aaloth left Aaloth to explore other colonies of the Twi'lek homeworld Ryloth. He visited the Assembly building in Ryloth's capital city Lessu, where he saw representatives of the Zygerrian Alliance making deals with the Twi'lek Clan Assembly. Later, Bala staged a coup d'état against the First family of Aaloth and installed himself as the planet's Keeper with the backing of the Zygerrian Alliance. He sold his girlfriend Lourna Dee into slavery, and she was taken to a Zygerrian camp by Lady Vardem Kroleyic. Dee was marked as a "grade one" slave to be sold to the Hutt Cartel. However, the Jedi Order launched an attack on the Zygerrian camp to free everyone within.^[1]
