"Hello there! My name's Dinn. Zerala Dinn. I'm in the antiquities trade. What brings you to Theed?"
―Zerala Dinn[1]

Zerala Dinn was a Human con artist operating in the city of Theed on the planet Naboo during the Galactic Civil War.

Biography

"Welcome! The Tear is here, in the back."
―Dinn luring an individual into a trap[1]

Born on the planet Naboo, Zerala Dinn was a Forceful Human who operated throughout the Mid Rim and Outer Rim as a con artist for years during the reign of the Galactic Empire. During his work, Dinn specialized in forging documents and selling counterfeit arts and artifacts. Apprehended by the Inquisitor Blaise Zirkonn, Dinn and Zirkonn connected with each other, forming a partnership to earn both wealth and influence. Sent back to Naboo by Zirkonn, Dinn was tasked with identifying Force-users by attempting to sell ancient Jedi artifacts to careless Forcefuls. Capturing at least a dozen Force-users, Dinn continued his operations with much success. She carried a blaster pistol for his own protection and wore refined cortosis gauntlets. To lure her potential Forceful victims into his trap, Dinn would offer to sell them the Tear of the Elders, a legendary artifact rumored to be connected to the rise of the Gungan civilization.[1]

Personality and traits

"Perhaps I am mistaken, but I'm wondering if you would consider the possibility of purchasing something from my collection that happens to be particularly... interesting?"
―Dinn conning[1]

While working with Blaise Zirkonn, Zerala Dinn was deceptive and charming, he would come across as interesting, witty and interested in conversion. The young man was a good listener and very perceptive of social cues. However, he was manipulative in conversation, able to trick Force-Sensitives into revealing their sensitivity while making it appear innocent and casual. In addition to his manipulations, he was skilled in luring others into traps, particularly by peaking his targets interest's in something in his collection. For those Force-Sensitives that remained suspicious of him and more reluctant to his manipulations, he would still attempt to meet with them to determine their Force-Sensitivity, and try to make himself trustworthy. However, sometimes if too much suspicion was aroused he would also back out of his con's and report his findings to Blaise. He and Blaise enjoyed hurting others, but typically used death as a last resort.[1]

Powers and abilities

Dinn wasn't entirely well versed in the Force, but had the ability to be more persuasive in conversation through the force. He kept on him a blaster pistol, cortosis-lined heavy gloves, wore messy armored clothing, and kept a comlink and datapad. In combat Dinn focused on the weakest target, attempting to beat them to death with his gloves. However, if Dinn or Blaise were incapacitated then the other would cover for them while reinforcements protects the one incapacitated until they could flee.[1]
