Zeffliffl was a planet in the Atrivis sector of the Outer Rim Territories, located on the Relgim Run. It was home to the Zeffliffl species, which evolved in salt water seas in the planet's southern hemisphere. The Zeffliffl had established contact with the wider galaxy prior to 14 ABY.

Description

Zeffliffl was the fourth planet orbiting Markbee's Star,^[4] located in the Atrivis sector of the Outer Rim Territories.^[1] It lay on the Relgim Run, a hyperlane that branched off the Braxant Run. Zeffliffl was bracketed on this hyperlane by the Generis system coreward and the Nam'ta system rimward.^[3] In the planet's southern hemisphere there was a small continent with salt water seas.^[4]

History

The planet Zeffliffl evolved sentient life within the shallow seas of a continent in its southern hemisphere. This species, the Zeffliffl, resembled lumps of dark green or blue-black seaweed. Groups of these individuals bonded together such that any outsiders who joined the group were rejected at a subconscious level, akin to an allergic reaction.^[4]

At some point prior to 14 ABY, the galaxy discovered Zeffliffl, and some familiarity with its native species was not uncommon for protocol droids such as the 3PO-series protocol droid model. In 14 ABY, a group of Zeffliffl traveled to the Imperial research station-turned-bazaar known as Crseih Station. There, they presented an ill member of their species to the Waru, an extra-galactic being, for healing.^[4]
