Markbee's Star was the primary star of the planet Zeffliffl, the fourth planet of the system.[3]

Behind the scenes

Markbee's Star was created by Vonda N. McIntyre for her novel The Crystal Star.[3] She named the star after her friend Mark Bourne, who helped her with some astronomy relating to the novel.[4]
