Zardossa Stix was a desert moon located in the Zardossa Stix system of the galaxy's Colonies region. It was the site of an ancient temple built in honor of Malmourral, the Bardottan demon of war. In 19.1 BBY, the Frangawl Cult kidnapped Queen Julia of the nearby planet Bardotta and brought her to the temple, where she was to be sacrificed in order to empower Mother Talzin. However, she was rescued by Jedi Master Mace Windu and Junior Representative Jar Jar Binks.

Descirption

A desert moon, Zardossa Stix[2] Zardossa Stix was located in the Zardossa Stix system of the galaxy's Colonies region,[1] near the planet Bardotta.[4] It orbited a single star alongside two other moons. Zardossa Stix was inhabited by a variety of imported fauna, including dalgos, eopies, gundarks, tookas.[3]

History

In the ancient past, the Frangawl, a Bardottan mystic cult,[4] built a stone ziggurat on Zardossa Stix in honor of Malmourral, the Bardottan demon of war.[2]

In 19.1 BBY,[5] the Frangawl Cult kidnapped the queen of their homeworld of Bardotta, Julia, and took her to the temple on Zardossa Stix. There, they planned to extract her Living Force energy and use it to empower the Dathomirian Nightsister Mother Talzin, who they revered as the Great Mother. The Queen's lover, Junior Representative Jar Jar Binks of the Galactic Senate, and Jedi Master Mace Windu pursued the cultists to the temple, where they disurpted the ritual and saved the queen.[3]

Inhabitants

Zardossa Stix Port was inhabited by members of a variety of sentient species, including Aqualish, Bardottans, Gossams, Gotals, Humans, Ithorians, Khramboans, Nimbanels, Quarren, Rodians, Sakiyans, Siniteen, Twi'leks, Weequays, and Zygerrians. There were also members of a tentacle-faced species, as well as those of Voe Atell's and Kerch Kushi's species.[3]

Locations

The sole city located on Zardossa Stix was Zardossa Stix Port. At its center was a town square that featured a marketplace,[2] and it was connected to the Zardossa Stix Pryamid via a rail speeder track.[3]

Behind the scenes

Zardossa Stix first appeared in "The Disappeared, Part II,"[3] the ninth episode of the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars' sixth season,[2] which originally aired in Germany on March 1, 2014.[6] It was first identified in the accompanying episode guide on StarWars.com.[2]
