Z-1 was a canine-like droid created by the Twi'lek Kalina Kalfus, who often fixed the droid if it malfunctioned. Z-1 functioned similar to an astromech droid, speaking only in robotic sounds and performing repairs on Kalina's space tug when needed, as well as recording and displaying holograms. Unlike other astromech droids, Z-1 moved with four legs and had a central, accordion-like body which can extend to reach high places. The droid also had a pair of flaps on its head that resembled dog ears.[2]
Biography
During the family life of Twi'lek adolescent Annisoukaline Kalfus, her mother Kalina Kalfus was busy fixing Z-1 before plays with a guitar than a blow torch. The droid stretches his body but it causes him to stumble and fall back before activating a holographic a video of a younger Anni and Kalina sitting together in a starfighter as Kalina does the Ryloth Roll. During the family race at the Hanna City Flight Academy, Kalina arrives in her box-shaped speeder with Z-1 and calls for her daughter that Anni has left her lunch behind before she has already left on her transit.
