"Ysanna needs help finding someone in Station Gamma. I'll provide it."
"Excellent. She's been distressed."
―A spacer and Inaldra's Lieutenant[2]

Ysanna was a human female who lived during the Galactic Civil War.

Biography

"My husband was sent to Station Gamma and hasn't returned yet. I fear for his safety. His unit recently engaged in some fighting with the Rak'qua."
―Ysanna[1]

Following the Battle of Yavin, Ysanna resided with her husband onboard Tansarii Point Station, a space station located above Ord Mantell, in the Bright Jewel system. Her husband was a soldier in the small military fore defending the station.[1] In 1 ABY,[3] a war erupted between Tansarii Point Station and the Rak'qua, an aggressive tribe of Nautolans living on Station Gamma, another space station in the Bright Jewel system. At some point, Ysanna's husband and his unit were dispatched to investigate disappearances on Station Gamma. After the soldiers engaged the Rak'qua, communications were lost and the unit never returned to Tansarii Point Station. Fearing for the safety of her husband, Ysanna contracted a spacer to travel to Station Gamma and bring back proof of what happened. Ysanna's fears proved to be correct; the spacer discovered that Ysanna's husband had gone mad from the violent fightings in that place. After killing the now-crazed soldier, the spacer presented the soldier's datapad to Ysanna as proof of what had happened. Though grief-stricken at the loss of her husband, she paid the spacer 1,500 credits.[1]

  3. The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
