The YT-1210 light freighter, also known as the YT-1210 transport, was a class of transport manufactured by Corellian Engineering Corporation and was nearly identical to the YT-1200 transport.
Description
The YT-1210 transport was manufactured by Corellian Engineering Corporation and was very identical to the YT-1200 transport, though both models were differentiated by the amount of thrusters. Similarly, however, the YT-1210 featured a side-mounted cockpit, a long sensor-laden boom that came out over the fore hull, and ten attachments points that served for adding optional upgrades and extensions.[1]
History
After Corellian Engineering Corporation released the YT-1200 and YT-1210 transport models to the public, customers preferred the YT-1300 light freighter which left the company with a huge backlog of YT-1200 and YT-1210 models. In an attempt to generate more revenue, CEC upgraded the unsold inventory with more powerful engines, heavier weapons, a basic set of defensive shields and marketed the upgraded ships as the YT-1250 transport.[1]
