The Xanas system was a part of the Xan sector[1] in the Slice portion of[2] the Mid Rim.[1] It contained[4] the settlement known as Xanas City as well as the region known as West County.[3]

Behind the scenes

Xanas City, and therefore the Xanas system, appeared in "A Pleasure Doing Business With You…," a short companion narrative included in Heroes & Rogues, a 1995 sourcebook written by Paul Sudlow and Rick Stuart for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry subsequently named the system and placed it in grid square Q-15.[2]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for Xanas City in relation to the Xanas system.
