- "I am Lord Xanak Grunseit, great nephew of the legendary Xomit Grunseit, most revered of Black Sun leaders. Cousin to the current ruler of the syndicate, who is, frankly, sitting on my throne."
- ―Xanak Grunseit, to T'onga's crew
An individual was the cousin of the Falleen Lord Xanak Grunseit.[1] Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY,[2] they were the leader of the criminal syndicate Black Sun. After the Falleen had a death mark placed on them by the Hutts, the cousin hired the bounty hunter Boba Fett to take the hit. Grunseit learned of Fett's intention to take the job, though believed he was working for the Hutts and, in response, put out a bounty on the hunter.[1]
Fett was delivered to Grunseit on the moon Quantxi by the bounty hunter T'onga's crew as part of a plan devised by Fett to remove the bounty by killing the Falleen. Afterward, Grunseit informed the crew of their cousin's standing as leader of the syndicate and their own intent to stake a claim for leadership. Once Fett got close enough to Grunseit, he revealed his employment by the Falleen's cousin and threw a ball of syntox—a fast-acting neurotoxin—at Grunseit, killing them.[1]
