XR-53 was a corrupted battle droid created by the Rakata with the ability to repair itself by harvesting resources.[3] Around 3623 BBY,[1] XR-53 was present on the ruins of the Emperor's Fortress on Ilum after its destruction during the Battle of Ilum.[2]

The Propagator Core XR-53 is a lair boss first appeared in the Game Update 7.6 of Star Wars: The Old Republic: Legacy of the Sith,[3] the eighth digital expansion to the massively multiplayer online role-playing game Star Wars: The Old Republic.[4]
