Also, what does the quote have to do with the purpose of this template? --Imp 12:05, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

  • It's just to have it in keeping with other templates. Look, the talk pages of Wookipedia are just so damn messy - a template just like this one has been implemented on Wikipedia (we're not Wikipedia...yeah, I know.) to great success. It's little effort for a lot of gain. .... 12:13, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
    • Or, alternately, we could establish a talk page policy and simply enforce it, removing the need for large and qutationally confused templates. ;) --Imp 12:15, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
      • You would be suprised at the amount of people who have no idea what a talk page is for. This saves you the trouble of having to say to newcomers "Sorry, but this isn't the place for discussion about your opinions and other stuff". Here's the Wikipedia equivilant - [1]. Why don't you take a look at the amount of talk pages that use it. They wouldn't use it there if it wasn't needed. .... 12:20, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
      • Policy? Who the hell is going to read that? Feel free to alter the quote, style, picture, or whatever of the exsisting template, by the way. .... 12:21, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
