Star Wars: A Dark Path (talk - history - links - logs)

Completely un-notable fan film. Also borders on vanity page.

Keep

  1. If I may be able to vote for this site, as it is the one that I created. My agreement is as this, I feel as with other fan-films that are on Wookieepedia this site should be allowed to exist. Your arguement that it is not complete or known yet is valid, and currently in production with it, but I have also seen fan-film sites that are not complete yet. My arguement is this: I plan on finishing this film and having it released by May. I am also currently signing up for accounts on other fan-film sites and such as of now, I have bought a domain name for the site. If this movie does not get online by Juna (one month after my deadline) I am going to kill my online stuff anyways. How can it become known if no one sees it. I removed the page about it's Director due to the "vanity" status which made me realize yes, I was just putting random stuff up, but allow me to keep this until at least June, if not longer and I will have production stills in the meantime and links the film once completed. Thank you. -- adarkpath@gmail.com 1932EST 2 February 2007

  2. It's well written, but then again, so was his vanity article. -- SFH 23:58, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
  3. Wookieepedia is not for advertising. -- Ozzel 00:51, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

    • As stated, this is not an advertisement... I am making no money off of these, so it is not an advertisement. - ADP
      • An advertisement for a non-profit endeavour is still an advertisement. —Silly Dan (talk) 03:19, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
  5. The vague and incomplete guidelines being discussed here wouldn't allow incomplete fanfilms their own articles. An article should be made after it has been completed, and recieved some level of notability within the community. —Silly Dan (talk) 03:19, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

  • You want to use us as advertisement, basically. That doesn't help your argument. -- SFH 00:38, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
  • No, not an advertisement, I want to explain the movie, character, plot, etc. But yes, partially everything is an advertisement. If it wasn't for Wookieepedia I would not have seen I.M.P.S.: The Relentless or Star Wars: Revelations which I think are incredible, and all because I was explaining TROOPS to someone and I pulled it up on here. This also caused me to look under the regular Wikipedia for more fan-films. Everything can be an advertisement, it's just on how the person looks at it. If it is decided to Keep this article but to request changes to it's layout or content, I will gladly accept people's input. -- Adarkpath 1946EST 2/Feb/07
    • Your vote should not count because you have only been here for less than one month just since February 1 2007 and you have not contributed much other that your A Dark Path article. Why not move your base of operations to SW Fanon Wiki? MyNz 2:40, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
      • Better might be to move the content to your userpage and promote it on the Jedi Council Forums. —Silly Dan (talk) 03:19, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
        • That's why I have the "Move" option there... Jorrel Fraajic Wiki-shrinkable 03:43, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

Since Adarkpath has essentially blanked the page, I think we can close this debate and delete. —Silly Dan (talk) 12:20, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
