  2. But it should be sourced. Charlii 15:14, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
  3. If it does exist in SW, then it should have an article here. And it needs sources/appearances. - TopAce 15:20, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
  4. Source it and keep. Havac 20:04, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
  5. Yoshi626 05:17, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
  6. Only if sourced. -- Ozzel 05:31, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
  7. I added one of the sources that I'm aware of. I'm sure, of course, that there are more. Cutch 05:42, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
  8. Canon. -- Riffsyphon1024 06:06, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
  9. Keep. I also added a source, as well as some new info from that source. jSarek 06:27, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
  10. It has sources, it's canon. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Audience Chamber) 16:27, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
  11. I also remember reading about it in one of the Original Trilogy Visual Dictionary, I think under the Tauntaun article. I'm going to check, but the article needs to stay. Jorrel Fraajic 18:46, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
  12. Listen, you crazy deletionists, it's in canonical sources, so just try to curb your lusts, huh? KEJ 19:38, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

Delete

  1. No point.--Valin Kenobi 11:25, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
  2. As a subcategory? Maybe. Useless, but maybe. As an article? Don't see it. Unless The Wildlife of Star Wars gives more concrete examples. Enochf 05:45, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
  3. Why don't we create tree and grass as well?–SentryTalk 06:30, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

Comments

  • Is it a canonical name for the plant? --Imp 11:38, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
    • Lichens have been referred to several times, yes. But the article doesn't have anything Star Wars related in it--it's not "Arkanian exploding lichen" or something. We might just as well have articles for Tree, Shrub, Moss, etc.--Valin Kenobi 11:41, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
      • We have articles on dogs, cats, deer, and I believe chickens. Why should plants be held to a different standard of notability? —Silly Dan (talk) 12:05, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
        • Bingo. And, why not have articles for tree, grass, etc.? They are part of the SW universe, after all. Jorrel Fraajic 18:46, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
          • I don't see a problem with having an article about the trees in the Star Wars Galaxy. Something like the fish article.--Lord OblivionSith holocronSith Emblem 18:53, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
            • Yeah, that sounds good. I also remember different types of grasses being mentioned before as well... one's from The Crystal Star, I believe. Jorrel Fraajic 19:02, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
              • Just look here to see how important trees are in the GFFA. -- Riffsyphon1024 19:04, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
