- Hey, it's canon, so we should have it. And it's not harming anyone. .... 08:43, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

- This is setting a bad precedent. Lots of things are unnamed but canonical…should we just do away with them all? I think not. Cutch 13:41, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

- Even though it wasn't named, I still find it useful. Brain40 13:36, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe for a specific character, this would be too obscure. But this is an entire species. -BaronGrackle 17:20, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Valin, I really don't understand why you think this is an issue. We're not hurting for space and I hardly think the job of an encyclopedia is to provide the least coverage it can get away with. Havac 19:09, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Create List of Unknown Creatures
- We've done this for past categories of minor, uber-obscure unnamed entities (see List of unnamed vehicles and Gallery of unidentified species). Keeping them all in one place would make them easier for users to find, too. jSarek 06:47, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- I think that could be done.JustinGann 07:14, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- Sounds good. I'm not necessarily demanding we outright erase this little dude and others like him, but I just don't think they warrant full articles when there's really nothing to say for so many of them. A list/gallery seems like a good solution.Valin Kenobi 08:02, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

- Unless it makes a significant contribution to the storyline, merge it. (Although a single article for all unknown creatures in the EU might get overly large: "Unknown creatures from Endor"? "Unidentified reptiles"?) —Silly Dan (talk) 21:30, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Comments
The article itself admits the critter is not named, so why bother making a conjectural article for something so incredibly minor and uber-obscure? I really don't like this tendency of making garbage conjecture articles for every bit of trivial background data. This creature fails any sort of notability test I can think of.--Valin Kenobi 07:55, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
- I'd be willing to help merge some of the unnamed animals by planet, etc, but not RIGHT now, lots of projects on Wikia (inc Republic index) and in real world (1 creative project, 2 research papers) so Dont delete it JUST yet, please be patient!JustinGann 02:10, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
