Babel templates

• Template:Babel-1 ([[Talk:Template:Babel-1|talk]] - history - links - logs)
• Template:Babel-2 ([[Talk:Template:Babel-2|talk]] - history - links - logs)
• Template:Babel-3 ([[Talk:Template:Babel-3|talk]] - history - links - logs)
• Template:Babel-4 ([[Talk:Template:Babel-4|talk]] - history - links - logs)
• Template:Babel-5 ([[Talk:Template:Babel-5|talk]] - history - links - logs)

The templates are not compatible with our new language userboxes based on {{lang}}, and because a few users are still using these babel boxes, we cannot delete the old, deprecated language userboxes. They are also incompatible with custom userboxes.

In other words, we don't really need these templates anymore. Users can now display their userboxes using the {{user infobox}} template or a combination of {{userboxtop}} and {{userboxbottom}}, and both systems are far more flexible and easy to use.–Sentry^Talk 10:30, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
