Wookieepedia > Wookieepedia:Inquisitorius > Inq/Meeting Thirty-two
- "Tell them that beginning today, their lives depend on their being useful to us."
- ―Chack Jadson, speaking to a group of FA writers
[Redacted by administration] gentlemen, it's time for that glorious occasion, the Inq meeting! It's been about 2 months since our last meeting; hopefully the next one will be in a month, rather than twice that time. Because of that, we've got a fair amount of articles to look over. But anyway, here's Inq meeting 32, guaranteed to be a doozy. It will be Saturday, April 24, at 7 pm EST, better known to you as 23:00 UTC, on that same day.
Stuff
Probed
- Carth Onasi
- Cassus Fett
- Bey
- Goran Beviin
- Jaina Solo
- I acknowledge that there's no way I can get all of the NJO books fully covered to the level of 2010 standards by the time this meeting rolls around. That said, the original Inquisitorius objections (updating from The Final Prophecy, fixing Relationships, succession boxes) were addressed by myself and NaruHina, while Menkooroo, Dolphin of Naboo and I have been expanding and fixing up the article, which has shown significant change since it was placed under FAR. Menkooroo completely redid the BTS and it looks a lot better now. Since I started working on it extensively in late March, we've gotten 8ish more novels fully expanded and I'll have more free time to finish it next month. Basically, an extension of the probationary period for one more meeting would be great. Atarumaster88

Out of curiosity, what needs to be added from the Star Wars Encyclopedia? Apart from some minor details from Lemelisk's entry, I'm not sure what else is missing. Thefourdotelipsis 14:08, April 10, 2010 (UTC)- Nevermind. Thefourdotelipsis 05:02, April 14, 2010 (UTC)

needs adjustments to fit LG; intro could use expansion (possibly also BTS); paragraph sizes could use standardization; ref 15 is invalid, as Wookieepedia is not a source and the forum thread contains no "official" posts, just fan speculation (the supposed quotes from officials on the first page cannot be verified). —Master Jonathan(Jedi Council Chambers) 04:12, April 10, 2010 (UTC)- I think I've adjusted your paragraph sizes and LG tweaks have been applied. I'm still looking for the official source that talked about the Knightfall trilogy, but I suspect it's on one of those SW.com threads that disappeared. BTS and intro have had small expansions, let me know either here or on my talk page what else you would like to see. Atarumaster88

- LG issues look good now, but I'll let the Inqs make the call on the rest. —Master Jonathan(Jedi Council Chambers) 21:50, April 10, 2010 (UTC)

- Zsinj—update tag. Also, given the number of appearances and sources, it seems like a lot more can be said in the P&T. Worth clarifying with someone familiar with the material, at least. In addition, there seems to be at least one OOU-oriented "unknown" statement in the P&T—the article overall should be scoured for remnants from 2006-quality writing. Items for discussion
- I would like us to start being more strict in the removal of nominations that don't adhere to the FAN rules, especially rule 1. I think that part of the reason that the Inq has slowed down in its reviewing is that we sometimes need to spend a tremendous amount of energy and time on fixing up one nomination. That certainly can leave the reviewer with little motivation and energy to look at other noms. Cylka-talk- 20:29, April 22, 2010 (UTC)
- Since there have been complaints about Inqs writing more articles than reviewing, I would like to propose that we implement a requirement that states for every three articles an Inq nominates, that person is required to review one article. Cylka-talk- 20:29, April 22, 2010 (UTC)

From Fiolli:
- Chopping block:
- Cassus Fett — keep or extend probe; I haven't had a chance to sort through those changes yet, but I trust that things have at least been touched by the responsible parties.
- Bey — keep
- Goran Beviin — keep
- Jaina Solo — extend probe; these guys are working on it, and it needed a lot of work
- Janu Godalhi — keep
- Kol Skywalker — keep seems best
- Marn Hierogryph — keep
- Belindi Kalenda — keep
- Cal Omas — keep
- Onara Kuat — either kill or extend probe — I ask that succession box be removed as this objection has not been resolved; the dates in the box that remain are speculative and do not come from the databank, which only says "in the final years of the Republic." That does not necessarily equate to 22–19 BBY.
- Grievous — kill
- Lok Durd — kill
- Harbinger — extend probe — There are still prose quality issues with one sentence paragraph, present conditional tense, and I'm not sold on the number of crew in the infobox as a viable figure.
- Darth Maladi — keep
- Ossus — keep
- Newer stuff:
- Wampa — keep
- Bevel Lemelisk — keep
- Kowakian monkey-lizard — keep
- Tiss'shar — probe
- Uueg Tching — probe
- Voren Na'al — probe
- Halagad Ventor — keep
- Beru Whitesun Lars — keep
- Danni Quee — keep
- Zsinj — probe
- Octavian Grant — keep
- Other items:
- Item 1: Not opposed to this, but we should give them a fair warning that it is not up to snuff and then a two or three week period before we start the removal vote unless it is so far beyond repair.
- Item 2: There is a part of me that likes it and a part that does not. I abstain on this one, as it does not really effect me. I frankly do not care which way the body votes.
- Adding new members: Not at this time. None of the one's I've heard mentioned meet my approval.
- Have a good meeting, guys. — Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 22:29, April 24, 2010 (UTC)
- Chopping block:
- Jujiggum:
- Probed articles: Kill Lok Durd and Grievous; extend probe Jaina per Ataru's request, and extend probe Harbinger and Onara Kuat per Fiolli above; keep the rest
- New articles: Probe Tiss'shar, Uueg Tching, Voren Na'al, and Zsinj, and keep the rest.
- Discussion Items:
- Item I: I strongly support this.
- Item II: I also support this, although I would prefer if it went more along the lines of 2 or 3 reviews per article nominated, rather than the other way around.

Articles on probation
- FA status kept
- Probe extended until next meeting
New examinations
- Escaped probation
Items discussed
- Agreed to be more strict in enforcing the FAN rules, especially rule 1. Articles falling below the required standard will be given a warning, with a removal vote started two or three weeks later unless significant improvements are made.
- Agreed that Inquisitors should aim to review roughly as many articles as they nominate. This is regarded as a common sense responsibility with no firm policy enacted.
- Imperialles suggested that the Inquisitorius should be phased out in the long term in favor of a system where all users were responsible for voting for and maintaining featured articles.
