  1. Make yourself at home in WP:AS, Menkooroo. Do not hesitate to use the "Source hunt" if you need it. --Skippy Farlstendoiro 13:14, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
  2. Two heads are better than one, but I'm not sure about two necks with no perceptible body. ~ SavageBob 15:36, May 26, 2010 (UTC)

A few things:
  • Intro: Species is preferable to "race." May also want to mention their sentience.
  • Biology and appearance: "measuring 4.8 long" 4.8 what, exactly?
  • More obscure articles, please! --Imperialles 15:13, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
    • Both fixed. Menkooroo 15:30, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
Skippy Farlstendoiro, agent of WP:AS
  • Specify something more about Adiss in the intro. Per In The G., Adiss was... a smuggler?
    • Done. Intro expanded as well.
  • Biology: Are you absolutely sure that all the traits you mention are common to the whole species? Unless the OS specify so, maybe other Yuvernians can have other eye colors, other teeth configuration, other skin pigmentation... If so, reword it so you only say that "at least some individuals" had blue eyes, etc.
    • How's it look now?
  • History: Maybe you could mention who won the Battle of Yuvern, even if Yuvernians themselves weren't really involved AFAIK.
    • Yeah, the relevance is admittedly questionable. There was nothing else for the history section, though. Changed "engaged" to "defeated", anyway.
  • "Although Adiss can be seen in at least two shots". Which shots?
    • Do they have names? Not sure how to elaborate on this one. DVD timing, maybe? Let me know.
      • I was thinking about something like "The shot where Boushh is first seen"; "The scene showing a lot of aliens sleeping"...
        • I could only find him in one, so despite the Insider article's claim, I've changed it to "at least one scene". Means the same thing in the end.
  • How is it that Star Wars Chronicles and Who's Who In Jabba's Palace specifically mention Adiss and are not listed as sources?
    • I left them out because they predate Adiss's identification as a Yuvernian --- should they be put in regardless?
      • Sorry to butt in, but if he's pictured, I'd count them as "sources", since they provide visual information about the species. ~ SavageBob 17:15, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
        • Done.
  • Hidalgo's Rookies: Rendezvous is listed as an Appearance. Are you sure nothing can be mentioned about that?
    • Background cameo by Adiss. No new info.
  • Also: Knowing Hidalgo, he probably went into detail about the Yuverian appearing in R:R somewhere in Rookies: Rendezvous Annotations, possibly giving you more BtS info, and a BtS opening quote. Have a look if you please.
    • Thanks for the link! Unfortunately, all he does is confirm that the Yuvernian is Adiss. Made a bts quote from jSarek, though. Menkooroo 16:19, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
  • New: The article on the Battle of Yuvern talks about an Alliance victory; this article talks about an Imperial victory. Which is it? --Skippy Farlstendoiro 09:46, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
    • Whoops, read a line from the databank entry wrong. The rebels won. Menkooroo 13:01, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
      • Yay, the Rebels won! You were trying to pass some Imperial propaganda, eh? --Skippy Farlstendoiro 13:13, May 26, 2010 (UTC)

Prepare to be savaged...
  • Just on a quick glance: Can you expand the lead? It should be about twice that length, I'd say.
    • Expanded. Any longer and it's the entire biology and appearance section. :^)
  • Also, you currently source Chronicles information to an Insider article. Is this on purpose? Could Chronicles itself be consulted?
    • Yup, done on purpose. Taken from Adiss's article --- the Insider article mentions Chronicles's mistake.
  • Have you looked through The Art of Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi for any background information?
  • How about Behind the Magic?
    • Info added from those two sources. Thank you for them. ^^
  • I'm pretty sure Cande Adiss is mentioned in Inside the Worlds of Star Wars Trilogy (or possibly another Incredible Cross Sections book); it's mentioned that his size required him to use Jabba's personal entrance to get into and out of the palace, if I remember correctly. Even if his species is not mentioned by name, it might have a tidbit of information you can add.
    • It's Complete Locations --- Added a bit about the elevator, also drawing from the databank entry and jSarek's blog.
  • Finally, have you checked the various adaptations of ROTJ for images or mentions of Adiss? That would mean the novelization, the radio play, the Marvel Comics edition, the Special Edition comic, and the manga adaptation. It's a longshot, but he may be pictured. ~ SavageBob 15:15, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
    • He's in the manga! More to come soon. Menkooroo 16:19, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
      • Not in the Marvel/SE comics, ROTJ infinities, novelization or Radio drama. Menkooroo 04:09, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
        • Nor in the Cine-Manga. Case closed. :) ~ SavageBob 04:29, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
          • Nor in ESB infinities! Menkooroo 04:55, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
  • OK, a bit more. Chronicles shows the puppet in full studio lights, and it appears that the two heads have different coloration patterns: one has dark gray spots (I wouldn't say black), but the other has more purplish spots. Can you amend the B&A section to reflect the fact that the necks could be different colors and that all spots were not black?
  • CSWE describes Adiss as "snakelike." This could be added to the B&A section.
  • "both atop a long, thin neck" -- this could be misread to indicate that they had one neck, two heads. Can you reword? Perhaps, "Each a top a long, thin neck"?
  • I'd also be wary about asserting that one head/neck was longer than another; we don't know what the necks are doing in the images we have, and one could conceivably be curved more than the other instead.
  • I'd change the bit about fangs to indicate that "at least one head had teeth . . . " since we don't know whether the other mouth has similar dentition or not.
  • You might also mention that their eyes were on the sides of the head and that they had wrinkled hides.
  • It's not necessary, but if it were me, I'd mention that the maquette/prototype of the creature was painted orange with dark orange mottling/spots (as seen on p. 240 of Chronicles).
  • You could merge "In the galaxy" up into "History" if you want; it's often better to do it this way when we only know one member of a species.
  • It might be worth noting that Adiss was apparently the subject of an ILM joke when, in a photo of the creature shop with all of their creations for ROTJ, they hung a "NO HUNTING" sign on one of his necks (as seen on p. 243 of Chronicles). Or not; up to you. ~ SavageBob 04:29, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
    • Got it all, baby. Menkooroo 04:55, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
What do Tigers dream of?
  • In the intro, you say that the species had yellow, spotted skin. However, in the body, you only say that at least one dude has such skin.
  • "They could not comfortably fit into the majority of the galaxy's light freighters, and Adiss was required to use Jabba's private elevator" At this point, you haven't introduced Jabba (intro doesn't count). Please remedy this.
  • Chack Jadson (Talk) 01:30, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
    • Tigers? I got more of a giraffe vibe. Also, both fixed. Menkooroo 05:01, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
      • Clearly you have never been to Saturn. Chack Jadson (Talk) 23:49, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

  • Hmm, since the entire History section focuses on a single member of the species, I think it would be better suited to be a "Yuvernians in the galaxy" section. Thoughts? Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 00:18, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
    • Ol' Bobbo told me that it should be "history" per the layout guide. And brother, he knows his species articles! Menkooroo 00:30, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
    • Aaaaaand here it is, for good measure: "[Species] in the galaxy provides an overview of the species involvement in the galactic community with particular emphasis on species trends and notable individuals. Depending on the available information, this section in particular may be incorporated into the earlier sections." Menkooroo 00:33, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
      • Alrighty then, I'll defer to the experts here. Another nice article, Menkooroo. :) Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 00:36, June 7, 2010 (UTC)

    • Specifically... is that hair? I can't tell for sure and I didn't want to speculate. Premium-Era-real These guys on thecustomalliance.com (backup link not verified!) seem to think it is. Menkooroo 15:10, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
      • It is not hair. Menkooroo 04:09, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
