  • Are the him pronouns you use to refer to Yaun throughout the biography accurate? If so this should be noted in the infobox and the relevant added category also Lewisr (talk) 00:23, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
    • My apologies! I thought I fixed those all earlier today. None of the sources available can confirm pronouns. Should be better now. (I was hoping the book adaptation would help in that regard, but sadly not.) Cyborg Commando (talk) 03:51, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
      • All good! Thanks for taking care of that Lewisr (talk) 00:15, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
  • Context for Bureaucratosis and Han Solo in the intro and biography
    • Contextualized Han Solo for both. (Should the phrase "orphan in disguise" be hyphenated or no?) The Padawan Menace does not indicate whether Bureaucratosis is a planet, moon, sector, etc. so there's not much more I can do. Cyborg Commando (talk) 13:20, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
      • I'm afraid I don't really know on the orphan thing, probably be better to be safe and do it? If it's not clear what Bureaucratosis is, I guess after all it could be a corporation, then you should remove it from the infobox.
    • Addressed. Cyborg Commando (talk) 16:25, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
  • You'll need airdates for the two LEGO things and appriopiate sources for the dates
    • Added. Would it be better for "Raid on Coruscant" to be listed as an episode of LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles or LEGO Star Wars: The New Yoda Chronicles? Cyborg Commando (talk) 13:20, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
      • I think the first is fine Lewisr (talk) 15:24, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
  • I think you could give some kind of idea what LEGO Star Wars: The Padawan Menace is in the BTS Lewisr (talk) 02:41, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
    • Added. Cyborg Commando (talk) 13:20, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
      • Reading over another status article nomination, I noticed that another user indicated noting channel for a premiere is apparently against precedent. (I added the mention of Cartoon Network when providing the context requested above.) As I couldn't find anything on this in the Layout Guide, can you confirm this and, if so, should it be removed? Cyborg Commando (talk) 05:14, 2 September 2023 (UTC)
        • Wasn't aware of such precedent so I spoke with Dani about it, and per their response it seems that you should remove the Cartoon Network mention. In this instance 'an animated television special' was really what I was looking for in terms of context Lewisr (talk) 18:17, 2 September 2023 (UTC)
          • Removed. Thanks, Lew. Cyborg Commando (talk) 20:42, 2 September 2023 (UTC)
  • 'By 0 ABY, Emperor Palpatine attempted to kick Yaun out of the Senate Building alongside the other senators but found they had remained there.' Is it just Yaun who is there? If so, then I think you should make it a little clearer, since it could read both ways that it was either 1) just Yaun or 2) the senators also as well as Yaun Lewisr (talk) 11:23, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
    • Reworded. Cyborg Commando (talk) 18:02, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
  • I think it would be worth including a mention of Coruscant (with context) in the intro Lewisr (talk) 11:23, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
    • Added. Cyborg Commando (talk) 18:02, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
  • 'inciting an altercation between their people and the Wookiee delegates in the Senate Chamber.' who does their people refer to? It could be read as Han's people since he was mentioned right before Lewisr (talk) 23:08, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
    • Clarified. Cyborg Commando (talk) 17:22, 17 September 2023 (UTC)

  • (Reviewing note) A real-life aesthetic choice that is also noted in the Manual of Style, compound words like Galactic Emperor are hyphenated with an en dash instead of a regular hyphen.
  • (Reviewing note) When formatting a smaller work (such as a TV episode) that is part of a larger work, the former is usually placed between quotation marks instead of italics. e.g. "Raid on Coruscant" and LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles
  • Could you please specify that the Senate was located on the planet Coruscant?
    • Done. Cyborg Commando (talk) 17:18, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
  • I think the article body could use at least one image.
    • Added. Cyborg Commando (talk) 17:18, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
  • Doesn't Yaun's appearance in The Yoda Chronicles suggest the character was also a member of the Imperial Senate before it was dissolved? TanDivoInsignia-SenateMurders Anıl Şerifoğlu (talk) 15:28, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
    • Yes, it does. I hesitated to add it at first given that the episode doesn't state it outright, but I agree that it's appropriate to include. Cyborg Commando (talk) 17:18, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
  • Are we sure Yaun is the one standing next to Yarael Poof during the celebrations? I think a close-up shot shows that individual has dark skin. I believe Yaun might be the one between a Wookiee and a human with black hair.
    • They look identical to me, I suspect it's the same model. I can remove that detail if appropriate. Cyborg Commando (talk) 22:27, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
      • Yeah, it'd probably be best to remove that since we can't tell which one is Yaun for sure. TanDivoInsignia-SenateMurders Anıl Şerifoğlu (talk) 23:34, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
        • Taking a final look at the closing shot, the one that pans in on the Padawans. The guy to Poof's right (left in-frame) has dark skin, appears to be a Weequay. The one on the other side looking up at Poof I am almost certain is Yaun, or at least one of his aides. The only other bald, light-skinned individual I see is the field trip driver with the head implant (Lobot?)—you can see it when he turns. I will remove the reference for certainty's sake. That said, feel free to take one last look and let me know what you find before striking. Cyborg Commando (talk) 04:30, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
          • I just realized that I was talking about another shot entirely (when the younglings are walking towards Yoda). During the celebrations, the one near Poof and in front of the Wookiee is definitely Yaun. Sorry about the confusion :) Though, I don't think the senator stands "next to" Poof or looks at the Jedi. I think they are just watching the fireworks like everyone else, but Poof's long neck is also in the frame. TanDivoInsignia-SenateMurders Anıl Şerifoğlu (talk) 20:58, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
            • After a bit of Poof-reading (see what I did there?), how does that look? Cyborg Commando (talk) 22:29, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
              • Ya'raelly good XD TanDivoInsignia-SenateMurders Anıl Şerifoğlu (talk) 00:19, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
  • Yaun honestly looks like a human to me instead of a humanoid alien, in my opinion What do you think?
    • Could be. Then again, much like gender, nothing states it outright. Maybe just say humanoid, without the alien? Cyborg Commando (talk) 22:27, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
      • I guess it's not impossible that they could be a non-human species that looks exactly like humans, but pretty much all (status) articles assume humanity if the character looks exactly like one without any alien features. In a way, it's similar to assuming that a character is, say, a Twi'lek if they possess lekku like other Twi'leks. TanDivoInsignia-SenateMurders Anıl Şerifoğlu (talk) 23:34, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
        • Added. Cyborg Commando (talk) 04:30, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
  • Also, a while ago, we stopped assuming characters' gender based on their appearance, so unless there is a source that states he was male, or refers to them as a "man," etc., it should be left as unspecified. TanDivoInsignia-SenateMurders Anıl Şerifoğlu (talk) 21:38, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
    • Addressed. Cyborg Commando (talk) 22:27, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
  • About Yaun's spelling, are we sure that The Padawan Menace's Blu-ray and DVD releases did not provide that first via subtitles? TanDivoInsignia-SenateMurders Anıl Şerifoğlu (talk) 01:53, 10 September 2023 (UTC)
    • I am not, and that is a distinct possibility. I don't have immediate access to my copy of The Padawan Menace, so I would kindly ask that you check for me as to expedite the process. Otherwise I can do it myself, there just might be a delay. Cyborg Commando (talk) 02:43, 10 September 2023 (UTC)
      • Unfortunately, I don't have access to a physical copy :( But I have a digital one from late 2011, and its subtitles spell their name as "Yaun," so that spelling probably existed before The Yoda Chronicles. TanDivoInsignia-SenateMurders Anıl Şerifoğlu (talk) 12:28, 10 September 2023 (UTC)
        • Confirmed and added. Cyborg Commando (talk) 11:42, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
  • (Reviewing note) All your previous references were accurate, but per the sourcing policy, if something can be attributed to a source that is already referenced in the article, that should be reused instead of adding a new one. In this case, The New Essential Chronology can be used to get rid of three unique references! TanDivoInsignia-SenateMurders Anıl Şerifoğlu (talk) 22:51, 16 September 2023 (UTC)

  • "although they were capable of other speech" — when did this happen? Given how much the article emphasises his "blah"s it might be good to include the instance(s) they spoke words too. OOM 224 (he/him) 15:26, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
    • Better? Cyborg Commando (talk) 19:24, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
      • Indeed, that's blah'ter. OOM 224 (he/him) 14:19, 9 October 2023 (UTC)

Comments

  • While the current image of the younglings in the body is not totally unrelated to Yaun, I feel like the character has enough screen time to have another image featuring Yaun in a more direct way. Just wanted to let you know that if you are unable to grab a screenshot from the LEGO episodes (which is completely okay!), I can gladly provide one for you as I've already updated the infobox image with a high-res version. If you have a particular scene/timestamp in mind, I can take a screenshot of that too. TanDivoInsignia-SenateMurders Anıl Şerifoğlu (talk) 23:10, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
    • That would be great. For The Padawan Menace, I think Yaun taking the floor (~4:57) would be a good option, or maybe as an alternate Yaun raising his fist about to slam it down on the control board (~5:30). A wide shot of Palpatine blasting Yaun from "Raid on Coruscant" (~10:19) would also be appreciated. Cyborg Commando (talk) 18:02, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
      • I have uploaded screenshots for all three moments. Please place one or more of them in the article as you wish, and if any of them end up being unused, I can simply delete them. TanDivoInsignia-SenateMurders Anıl Şerifoğlu (talk) 21:38, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
