  • You're missing Han Solo's Databank entry (the droid is mentioned and pictured in the biography gallery) so I think it's worth looking through other related entries as well to check for mentions and depictions. 1358 (Talk) 05:35, May 14, 2020 (UTC)
    • Added, I can't seem to find any more pictures or mentions. UberSoldat93 ClanMudhornSignet-Redemption (talk) 05:47, May 14, 2020 (UTC)
      • It's indrectly mentioned in Darth Vader's bio gallery, and the mentions in Echo Base and Hoth are not indirect mentions. 1358 (Talk) 05:58, May 14, 2020 (UTC)
        • Ah, I counted it as an indirect mention since the entry only says "a probe droid" with no pictures of XJ9. UberSoldat93 ClanMudhornSignet-Redemption (talk) 06:06, May 14, 2020 (UTC)
        • Added more entries, I believe that's all of them. As for the mentions, I was under the impression that if the Databank refers to it as "an Imperial probe droid" or "one such probe" it counts as indirect. RattsT (talk) 06:08, May 14, 2020 (UTC)
          • An indirect mention would be if the subject is not mentioned explicitly (for example, Vader's entry that mentions the dispatched "Imperial probe droids" in general, not this particular unit). Just because the subject isn't identified by its full name doesn't make a mention indirect. 1358 (Talk) 06:12, May 14, 2020 (UTC)
            • Alright, in that case I'll go through the sources and make sure they're indirect. RattsT (talk) 06:15, May 14, 2020 (UTC)
    • Sources should be all cleaned up. RattsT (talk) 06:31, May 14, 2020 (UTC)

  • Ratts I honestly think you've done fantastic work on this nomination and I'm glad to see you starting out on the GAN, but I really don't think you've quite realised the scale of this article. Film character nominations are amongst the most complex nominations there are, and especially characters as prominent as this one, who appear in at least several sources every year. After only about an hour searching I've managed to add 15 more sources and appearances to this article and that was by no means a comprehensive search and didn't even begin to touch on behind the scenes sources, of which I'd imagine there are dozens. I'd be extremely surprised if there isn't enough behind the scenes information out there to make this into a FAN. To be brutally honest, I'd probably advise that you request this nomination be taken down as it's clear that there's an enormous amount of research needed to make it comprehensive. I genuinely hope that this doesn't discourage you from making future nominations and would be happy to offer guidance and advice on any further such work you do. Ayrehead02 (talk) 10:53, May 17, 2020 (UTC)
    • Hi, Ayre. I appreciate the honesty, and after looking at the sources you've added, I agree, there's expansion that can be done. The page is very near the GAN word count limit as it is. Right now, the best thing for the article would be to take down the nomination and go through more sources. I'd be happy to talk to you on Discord about the sources you've found and how to improve the article for an eventual FAN. RattsT (talk) 19:27, May 17, 2020 (UTC)
