Objections
TheNewGMan
Pronoun usage in the article could be improved. For example, in the following passage, who is she and who is he? Since the gender of the characters isn't obvious from the names, it is hard to follow who did what."She hired the bounty hunter Ansen Strung to retrieve the animal for her, though he lost contact with her not long after taking the job. While at her farm, the farmer met Brightstar, Solay, Nubs, and the bounty hunter's sibling Senna Strung. She told them about Ansen's work for her, noting that she had not been able to contact him, but needed her missing Burowga back soon for seeding season."—Unsigned comment by TheNewGMan (talk • contribs)- Sorted.—spookywillowwtalk 01:49, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
The above was just an example; there are unclear pronouns in multiple places throughout the article.
This article is pretty difficult to read. The introduction is written at a 10th-12th grade reading Level (according to the Flesch Kincaid scale) and would be considered "fairly difficult to read". The main text is a bit easier to read, but still at an 8th grade reading level. Young Jedi Adventures is geared towards preschoolers and primary grade schoolers, so this article may be better if written at a level accessible to the audience of the show from which the content is derived from. The article would be more accessible to younger readers if there were fewer words per sentence.—Unsigned comment by TheNewGMan (talk • contribs)- That isn't true at all, nor is it how things are done. The page abides by all the rules laid out at the top of Wookieepedia:Good article nominations Lewisr (talk) 03:32, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
- Can you please clarify what part isn't true? It is true that the article is written at a high grade level -- you can google Flesch Kincaid scale yourself and paste in the text. It is true the article is difficult to read. And its true that Young Jedi Adventures is geared towards preschoolers. The rules say that an article must "be well-written and comprehensively detailed." Does it abide by that rule if it is not accessible to a viewer of Young Jedi Adventures? Someone else should judge that by considering my objection. —Unsigned comment by TheNewGMan (talk • contribs)
- Both Spooky and Lew are members of the community's status review boards, and thus are extremely qualified to speak on this matter. We do not modify our writing style or contents to cater to a specific age group, regardless of the intended age group of the original media. Star Wars is an all-ages franchise, and our editor community (per Fandom's own user policy) consists of adults (and teenagers at minimum). What you are suggesting would be a radical rework of every article on this site and is not supported by policy in any way. Cade

- Furthermore, if you feel like the article is difficult to read in general, not just because of grade level, you can offer ways to improve wording for clarity and flow. That being said, written in a professional and encyclopedic manner, any article is going to be written at a higher grade level than preschool/primary school. Besides, preschoolers aren't reading Wookieepedia. Master Fredcerique

Striking TheNewGMan's objections, as user has left the wiki. Second objection also goes against policy. Master Fredcerique(talk) (he/him) 04:51, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
