Unidentified dinghy driver

  • Nomination comments: Of all characters, why just it? Well, first and foremost is the fact it is the first Teek to have been pictured in canon! If not for it, all we'd have would be mere descriptions. Second, the wee ferryman is unlikely to undergo major revisions in the future. Considering its relatively minor role and the fact that Skeleton Crew is over, we shouldn't expect it to show up in any source until maybe we get a comic book, which I hope we will. Furthermore, the article presents a wealth of high-quality multimedia elements, like pictures and audio samples. Last but not least, the BTS section is detailed, well-researched, and informative, reaching as far as a Empire, where NBDani spotted it.   • It looks like we are actually missing their brief appearance in the 3rd episode. Around 7 minutes in, the driver takes the kids and Jod back to the Cinder after their escape. (I swear I added that appearance but must not have). -ThePedantry (talk) 23:35, 24 February 2025 (UTC)

  • It's not necessarily a contradiction that the Teek has two sets of pronouns, so I don't think it's necessary to note in the BTS. Instead, both sets should be used at least once in the body.

  • The infobox and body reference different sources for his gender. One of those should be changed so they both ref the same source, since precedent is that they should match
  • David W. Collins should have context, probably that he was the sound designer
  • This article does actually seem to have a little bit of new info that can be added. It mentions the switch between the digital and puppet versions and the movements mimicking the original Teek.

      • All information in the introduction has to also be included in the body. In the intro you say "the dinghy driver offered its service to the young members of the Skeleton Crew", but you don't use the term "Skeleton Crew" in the body.   • "Yeah, the Teeks we know from Battle for Endor is well taken care of." this should have a [sic] after either "Teeks" or "is", whichever is correct.

  • I think it would be good to link in the image caption Armstrong to her character.

  • "As revealed by co-production designer Doug Chiang, dinghies were designed as a Star-Wars–ized analogy to real-world "rowboats going from the pirate ships to the dock."[11] — this is a good piece of info, except it would be at home on the space dinghy article, here it's rather irrelevant.

  • The bio is currently four paragraphs long, and it looks like it would lend itself well both visually and thematically to subsectioning - the first couple of paragraphs talk about the Skeleton Crew's first encounter with the Teek, the last two about their further interactions. This will also allow for an additional quote to be added if available, or at least for the Teek language sample one to be moved up.

  • Intro: "who had become lost in the galaxy after accidentally leaving their homeworld aboard an abandoned starship" this is currently exclusive to the intro.
    • Removed the intro piece. It's irrelevant.
