Based on guidance I've received on my past clone noms, I think precedent is for the inhibitor chip bit to be in the Equipment sectionWok142 (talk) 06:52, 10 November 2024 (UTC)- Whaaaat. That doesn't make sense since it's organic and isn't a piece of equipment or tool... I'm hesitant to make that change --Vitus InfinitusTalk 19:59, 10 November 2024 (UTC)
- Some part of me agrees with you but I do think that it still is equipment kind of. Being organic doesn't necessarily disqualify it from being equipment/tech/whatnot. I decided to bring this up on Discord to see how others felt and it seems it would still be best in Equipment, although if you feel strongly about it we can continue the discussion. - Okay, thanks! I'll wait for updates --Vitus InfinitusTalk 02:41, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- On Lew and I's behalf, I did want to forward the comments we'd relayed on Discord when this was brought forward. We do agree that the part about orders and not resisting them is behavioral to a degree, and that could be kept to PT if strongly felt; wouldn't be a problem. However, the (I think it's over twenty of them now) status'd clone troopers have the implanted chip in Equipment. It was placed there after some discussion because as Wok said, it being there since birth doesn't negate the fact that it is still technology, and it's also not "personality" info so to say. The behavioral modification biochip to this degree also uses the {{Device}} template, classifies it as a cybernetic implant, operating like a piece of technology rather than personality with the amplification of the devices in some cases, etc. Hope this explains.—spookywillowwtalk 03:29, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for the additional insight. Those are convincing arguments and makes sense to me now, so will be adding to equipment section. Thanks! --Vitus InfinitusTalk 04:21, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
