  1. What of the endless adaptations of ROTJ such as photo comic, junior picture books, etc? Graestan(Talk) 21:11, February 14, 2010 (UTC)
    • Considering R5 is such a minor character, and is barely visible in the ROTJ film, I doubt that he would appear in any other adaptation. I'll check what adaptations I can get my hands on, but I can almost guarantee that he's not present in any of them. Grand Moff Tranner Imperial Department of Military Research (Comlink) 22:57, February 14, 2010 (UTC)
      • I have been unable to find any of these at my local book/comic stores, but I do know that if R5 appears in any adaptation of ROTJ, it would be the PhotoComic. If anyone has this, I would greatly appreciate your help. Grand Moff Tranner Imperial Department of Military Research (Comlink) 21:01, March 1, 2010 (UTC)
        • He's not in the PhotoComic or the junior novel pictures, at least not in any decipherable form. Toprawa and Ralltiir 01:16, March 6, 2010 (UTC)
  2. Toprawa:
    • I'm curious where you got this from: "he was present in one of the Death Star's hangar bays when the Sith Lord, Darth Vader, arrived to order the station's commander to speed up construction on the superweapon." Because after looking at the aforementioned PhotoComic pictures, it looks like there are only two astromech droids present during the Vader scene, neither of which are R5-J2. If anything, I would say he's present during the Emperor's arrival. Toprawa and Ralltiir 01:16, March 6, 2010 (UTC)
      • Using this image as a reference, I was able to rule out early on that R5 was present during the Emperor's arrival, because there are more than two droids present during that scene. (After reviewing that scene, I was unable to determine whether any of them were R5 units.) I then proceeded to watch Vader's arrival aboard the Death Star at the beginning of ROTJ frame-by-frame, and noticed that when Vader and Jerjerrod were walking away from the shuttle and passing by the assembled officers, two R5 astromech droids are barely visible behind the line of officers, to Vader's left. I am curious to see the image from the PhotoComic, though; do you think you could upload it? Grand Moff Tranner Imperial Department of Military Research (Comlink) 15:08, March 6, 2010 (UTC)

  • I fixed what grammatical errors I saw but I'm not sure if you want to change inform to order in "arrived to inform the station commander". I'll leave it to you. Nayayen—TALK 20:46, February 12, 2010 (UTC)
    • Ah, yes, that was left over from an earlier version of that sentence. I changed it to "order." Grand Moff Tranner Imperial Department of Military Research (Comlink) 20:50, February 12, 2010 (UTC)
