(Give it up for Lil' 'Soka Tano, ladies and gents!) 20:08, 14 April 2009 (UTC) - Wow, rickrolled at #7. Anyhow, I remember when this page looked like this (http://starwars.wikia.com/index.php?title=Nevar&diff=2282998&oldid=1940058), and it has since come a long way. - From the Moffship of Grand Moff Tranner:
"Additionally, Inside the Worlds explains that "Wedge…[deploys] Rogue 3's harpoon and tow cable against the AT-AT commanded by Brigadier General Nevar," suggesting that Nevar was assassinated during the battle itself, sometime after Blizzard 2 is felled." - I'm a little confused about his assassination. You say that the line suggests Nevar was killed following the tripping of Blizzard 2, but I don't see how you came to that conclusion. You should elaborate, as best you can, on the subject.Grand Moff Tranner(Comlink) 11:40, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
- Added a little bit. I'm interpreting that quote to mean that as the AT-AT is tripped, Nevar is still in command, meaning he has not yet been assassinated. It says he "commanded," rather than, say, "that was commanded... "Commanded" is being used in the present tense, so, simply assuming he wasn't commanded right at the AT-AT was tangled, he must have been killed sometime after that event. - Not necessarily. For example, the Executor could be called Darth Vader's flagship even if he wasn't on it. I think it's a bit too speculative to say that Nevar was assassinated following the tripping of Blizzard 2. Grand Moff Tranner

- I think this one's more straightforward than you're making it out to be. The picture caption identifies Nevar as being in command of Blizzard 2 when Antilles attacks it, as in still being alive, which is also backed up by the map itself, which shows the path of "Blizzard 2, led by Brig. Nevar" on the battlefield toward Echo Base. It's not like it's an ambiguous statement we need to wrap our minds around and struggle with. In the absence of anything actually saying "Nevar was assassinated when Blizzard 2 was at this point on the map," I'm working with what I'm given. Toprawa and Ralltiir 21:21, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
- An addendum to that last statement, it should also be pointed out that all of the picture captions on these two Hoth pages are in present and future tense, meaning that the caption that they provide is meant to describe in real-time the image you're looking at.
