If the article name isn't conjecture, you should mention the full name with bold on the article intro.- Done--Exiled JediGreetings 12:07, May 5, 2011 (UTC)
Try and see if you can cut down some game mechanics out.- Could you please give me some pointers on what to cut out? Also, I would rather not send the article right back to the CAN page that it just left if I can help it.--Exiled JediGreetings 12:07, May 5, 2011 (UTC)
- I consider the range 25 meters a pure game mechanics, it's not a peagun. You can move it to Bts with mention that it's just a limitation in the game, or, you can ask someone else for their opinion. –Tm_T (Talk) 14:16, May 5, 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks. I changed it.--Exiled JediGreetings 15:06, May 5, 2011 (UTC)
- Isn't the range of this weapon game mechanics too, then? Imperators II(Talk) 18:20, May 5, 2011 (UTC)

External links, I'm not sure if we should have gamebanshee links.- Removed--Exiled JediGreetings 12:07, May 5, 2011 (UTC)
- Possibly more later, looking good though. (: –Tm_T (Talk) 07:07, May 5, 2011 (UTC)
Now that I did read it again, intro doesn't contain anything about what makes this weapon unique, namely it's firepower.–Tm_T (Talk) 14:16, May 5, 2011 (UTC)- Is this better?--Exiled JediGreetings 15:06, May 5, 2011 (UTC)
Combine Carbine
"...and it was especially effective against droids." There's no particular reason why, is there?- There is no reason that I know of. It dealt more damage against droids in the game, so I thought it should be mentioned.--Exiled JediGreetings 12:20, May 6, 2011 (UTC)
"In the game, the weapon was limited to a firing range of twenty-five meters, which was the same as the other blaster carbines." You should explain why it was "limited" to 25 meters.- Please see the discussion about the range above, and then please tell me how you think this could be better worded.--Exiled JediGreetings 12:20, May 6, 2011 (UTC)
- I tweaked the wording slightly. Sorry about the confusion with your objection.--Exiled JediGreetings 15:56, May 6, 2011 (UTC)
- No problem. I understand from your talk with Tm that it was limited due to the battle system of Kotor. Is that from a sourcebook or something? If it is, then that should be added somewhere. If it's not, though, this part of the bts should be fine as-is anyway.
- Do you mean stating another source that has a range for a blaster carbine and comparing the differences?--Exiled JediGreetings 02:33, May 7, 2011 (UTC)
- I think he means any (reliable and official, not gamebanshee) source that gives the carbine's ranges in kotor games. And to bit explain how the fight (or any action) system works in kotor games: It's turn-based dicerolling with animations, with clear game limitations due to this system. One clear is that you simply cannot shoot anyone no matter how clear sight you have on them until you're in relatively close range (depending on what weapon you have). So, the range numbers are comparable within the games, but they're quite uncomparable to all the rest IU. The kotor range numbers IMO can be used as an indication of what weapon has better or worse range, just an indication of a difference but in a scale that is limited by game mechanics. Was I overly verbose enough? (; –Tm_T (Talk) 06:26, May 7, 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry I got confused. How is this?--Exiled JediGreetings 22:23, May 7, 2011 (UTC)
- Bonslywizard sorry for using your objection section, let me know if this bothers you. Exiledjedi I think you should try to explain it in less verbose way in the Bts, perhaps not going into details of the general game mechanics at all. Also, "... the ranges for weapons in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic disagreed with the longer ranges given in other sources." What other sources? If you refer to something, you need to source it I'd say. (: –Tm_T (Talk) 06:30, May 9, 2011 (UTC)
- I cut some stuff and sourced the longer range, (sorry the New Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology did not have a blaster carbine).--Exiled JediGreetings 12:37, May 9, 2011 (UTC)
- Wow. Amazing how much happens when I'm not around. Okay, so EJ (you don't mind if I call you that, do you?), better, but why it was whatever is still needed. A simple " due to the battle system of kotor" would suffice. And don't worry, Tm. Half the time, I don't even use my objection section :P Bonslywizard

In the Bts, "The weapon had large bonuses to damage and attack..." are damage and attack game attributes or something along those lines? Please elaborate on this. Otherwise, good job. Before I review this nomination, I have a question/objection. The BTS asserts that the video game's blaster rifle range differs from The New Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology, which I am interpreting is meant to be shown as a canon inconsistency. However, the Essential Guide series can in some respects be considered "period pieces," meaning that they present canon information in relation to a certain time period in canon, usually up to the most recently released canon material at the time of publication. The point I'm getting at is, does the NEGWT provide any chronology for its assertion of a blaster range being 100-300 meters? Considering KOTOR happened thousands of years before the latest developed point on the SW timeline, is it not possible that this blaster rifle's range was normal for its time period? I question whether the KOTOR-NEGWT "inconsistency" even needs to be detailed.Toprawa and Ralltiir 19:01, May 16, 2011 (UTC)- Now that I looked closer I believe that the 100m to 300m range applied to the E-11 blaster rifle. However, I have found that the Tales of the Jedi Companion lists a blast rifle's maximum range as 150 meters. As you will see if click on the link for blast rifle, it redirects to blaster rifle. The events in Tales to the Jedi occurred about 40 years before the events of KOTOR I, so I think that the 25 meter range that the blaster carbine has is still off. I am going to replace the NEGWT information for the TOTJC information. As for including the information in the first place, I believe it is necessary because of the game says 25 meters when that range is clearly too short, and if I do not mention the range at all someone will likely come along and put 25 meters in the range part of the infobox or in the article itself.--Exiled Jedi
