I think the dating can get tightened up a bit for when Garsea's journey was with some logic-run-arounds. It's certainly after she left Batuu in 21 ABY at least. The latter part of the linked note is still a work-in-progress but I'll generally note that there's also indication that she's been with Damar for a year prior to the novel's events (so, 33 ABY) and she had been smuggling by then, and since the Haneli job was her first, that solves that part firmly. Though, can also be said that the 'several years' her parents died—so she's been smuggling at least two years, hence the note indicating 32 ABY in its preliminary state. But if that's all messy, I think at minimum adding that it was after 21 ABY would be needed.—spookywillowwtalk 22:06, 11 December 2023 (UTC)- I've added the post 21 ABY date since that definitely makes sense, but "not long after" is vague enough to stretch into the next year or possibly even beyond so I think it's safer just to leave it as being some point prior to her talking about it in 34 ABY. - Fair, gets wordy. Though, I suppose the 'not long after' part was more my bad; she takes the job pretty much immediately after her parents' deaths due to running out of money, then ends up with Damar by 33.—spookywillowwtalk 00:29, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
