Kilson
  • You should mention the Galactic Civil War in the Intro.
  • "...ropes ejected from the ground and snagged Grimgrim and the others. The Wookiee was separated from the others..." Could you use some word variation and change one of "the others" to "the rest of the Rebel Four" or something along those lines.
  • I feel it would be appropriate to mention at the end that the rest of the Rebel Four was killed during the raid.
  • Other than that, nice job Bob. Kilson(Let's have a chat) 00:25, May 2, 2011 (UTC)
    • Done! Thanks for the review, as always. ~SavageBOB sig 15:32, May 2, 2011 (UTC)
      • No problem. Kilson(Let's have a chat) 03:13, May 3, 2011 (UTC)
A grim future
  • Can you give context for Vader in the intro? An indication that he's a Sith Lord or affiliated with the Empire would be supah.
  • Unless the comic says as much, "and restore the Old Republic" should probably be sourced to something else or be jettisoned.
  • Is there any more info you can give on the parallel to the Fantastic Four? All of the Rebel Four's deaths mirror the powers of their Marvel counterparts, so it might be worth noting that Grimgrim's death by rocks is reminiscent of Ben Grimm's rocky body. This guy makes a note of it.
  • The three websites in ref [3] should be split up into three different references. There's really no reason to combine multiple sources into one ref --- as an example, one might write "Pellaeon participated in several battles during the Yuuzhan Vong War,"[1][2][3] but they would never write "Pellaeon participated in several battles during the Yuuzhan Vong War."[4] I can't imagine why we would treat websites any differently.
  • All from me! Good job. Menkooroo 06:25, May 11, 2011 (UTC)

  4. ↑ See The New Jedi Order: Dark Tide II: Ruin, Force Heretic I: Remnant and Force Heretic III: Reunion
    • OK, I've tried to take care of these. I think it's much cleaner to lump one-time-only references together into a single note if possible, but it's not a big deal to split them up, especially since I'm using one of them twice now. :) The only thing I haven't done is the Old Republic one. Can you elaborate why you think it deserves a separate ref? The organization's title is the Alliance to Restore the Republic, after all! Thanks for the review! ~SavageBOB sig 15:26, May 11, 2011 (UTC)
      • Awesome! Regarding the Old Republic: If the comic specifically says "Alliance to Restore the Republic," then it's all good, but I suspect it just says "Rebel Alliance." As a comparable example, if any sort of The Clone Wars media simply referred to the badguys as "Separatists" and just portrayed them as droid armies, I would think another source would be necessary to get into a discussion of their purposes and origins as a Confederacy that had seceded from the Republic. Does that make sense? Menkooroo 15:54, May 11, 2011 (UTC)
        • I get what you're getting at, and I think I've argued something similar in noms about "Wicket Wystri Warrick" and "Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka." But I've been thinking more about it, and I think with names it's OK to "duck test" the full name from the shorter form. For instance, if we have a comic with a character in the Death Star in a white dress and buns, and someone calls her "Leia," it's not necessary to cite her surname to another source if we want to call her "Leia Organa" in an article about Grand Moff Tarkin. Now, here, you're saying that the desire to restore the Republic is maybe different from my names argument, but here, the very purpose of the organization is in its full name. I hope that makes sense. :) ~SavageBOB sig 18:07, May 11, 2011 (UTC)
          • Yup, that makes sense. Clobber away! Menkooroo 04:39, May 12, 2011 (UTC)

  • Curious, why isn't there anything in the Bts regarding the obvious correlation to Ben Grimm and the Fantastic Four? Trak Nar Ramble on 06:12, April 29, 2011 (UTC)
    • Although it's pretty blatantly obvious that that's the parody/homage at play here, I couldn't find any official source that says as much, which puts us in a kind of bind per our sourcing guidelines. ~SavageBOB sig 06:24, April 29, 2011 (UTC)
      • No, no, no, what you gotta do is be creative, man! :D I think the allusion is clear enough that you should mention it without making any assumptions --- you could note that many elements of the comic share similarities with the Fantastic Four and then roll from there. I suggested something similar for the Don, but it didn't make it in before 4Dot peaced out. You could even note that several reviewers of the comic have noted that they see it as a clear parody (One, two, and three! However you word it, it would be a crime to leave it out, man! • How's that look? ~SavageBOB sig 04:43, April 30, 2011 (UTC)
          • MUCH better! That was actually my only objection. After a quick copy-edit, I'll cast my vote... Trak Nar Ramble on 05:27, April 30, 2011 (UTC)
  • Bandoleer or Baldric? SinisterSamurai 08:50, April 30, 2011 (UTC)
    • Hmm. Those two articles should be merged, I'd say. As far as I can tell, the two words are synonyms. ~SavageBOB sig 03:18, May 3, 2011 (UTC)
      • Tyrant's Test distinguishes between the two, interestingly enough: Dryanta and Shoran were wearing hunting bandoliers instead of baldrics, and a pair of tough-shelled tree bags were lying on the ground at their feet. Menkooroo 17:12, May 6, 2011 (UTC)
        • I'll have to call shenanigans on TT unless "hunting bandolier" is being used a unit to distinguish it from a mainline baldric. My dictionary says "bandolier" and "baldric" mean the same thing, anyway. :) ~SavageBOB sig 20:44, May 6, 2011 (UTC)
