Return of the Jedi
  • "Common in Lake Paonga near Otoh Gunga..." - Context on Otoh Gunga.
    • Context given. -- Riffsyphon1024 02:36, January 10, 2012 (UTC)
  • "During the Invasion of Naboo in 32 BBY, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Jar Jar Binks swam by a number of doo on their way to Otoh Gunga..." - Context on several things here. Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, Jar Jar, and why they were all swimming around. Context again on Otoh Gunga; what is it, where is it (planet), etc.
    • More context given here. -- Riffsyphon1024 02:36, January 10, 2012 (UTC)
  • I took care of several linking and formatting problems in my copy-edit, but that's all for now. Good work.—Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 04:34, January 6, 2012 (UTC)
Lee's charge
  • Intro: Context for the Humans and the Gungans please.
    • Not sure what needs to be contextualized here beyond what is already.. -- Riffsyphon1024 02:36, January 10, 2012 (UTC)
      • EDIT: Okay I see where it needed context and added it to match that of the body. -- Riffsyphon1024 02:46, January 10, 2012 (UTC)
        • Eh, I fail to see a change here. Please tell us that the Gungans are a species. Clone Commander Lee Talk 14:43, January 10, 2012 (UTC)
          • Ack. Does this update help? -- Riffsyphon1024 18:50, January 10, 2012 (UTC)
            • Yup. Clone Commander Lee Talk 18:53, January 10, 2012 (UTC)
  • The doo, [...], made various appearances in the 1999 prequel trilogy film Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace and surrounding materials such as Star Wars Chronicles: The Prequels.: They made various appearences in surrounding materials? Then why is there only one of these materials in the "Sources" section. Either you missed some or this is worded unclear. Please check it out and reword or add these sources.
    • Heh, those should be the only sources for this, so I might have been stringing words I used for other scalefish articles into this one by accident. -- Riffsyphon1024 02:36, January 10, 2012 (UTC)
  • Very good work. Clone Commander Lee Talk 09:18, January 6, 2012 (UTC)
Toprawa
  • Have you checked all the many TPM adaptations (comic, Manga, novel, PhotoComic, etc.) that this fish may appear in? Toprawa and Ralltiir 21:27, January 12, 2012 (UTC)
    • No Tope, have you? -- Riffsyphon1024 00:50, January 14, 2012 (UTC)
      • For sake of clarification, Riff is currently looking into checking these sources. Toprawa and Ralltiir 19:53, January 17, 2012 (UTC)
        • Yes, it's not what it sounded like. We're fine. Everything's fine. How are you? -- Riffsyphon1024 02:19, January 18, 2012 (UTC)
Naru
  • Context on the Trade Federation, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Jar Jar Binks in the History.
    • Context added. -- Riffsyphon1024 02:19, January 18, 2012 (UTC)
  • If it's possible to get a decent screenshot of a doo from the actual film, those are preferred in infoboxes over images from other sources.
    • I would support that but haven't found a screenshot from Ep I yet. -- Riffsyphon1024 02:19, January 18, 2012 (UTC)
  • I'm also going to echo Tope on looking for other sources. I'd suggest at least glancing through A99 aquata breather's Sources list to see if one happened to be pictured. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 23:35, January 16, 2012 (UTC)
    • Gave them a lookover but I don't have access to most of those sources. -- Riffsyphon1024 07:24, January 19, 2012 (UTC)
  • Which source first ID'd the fish as a doo? NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 23:42, January 16, 2012 (UTC)
    • I'm not sure exactly, and it's not a fish covered in The Wildlife of Star Wars: A Field Guide, which released in 2001. It's possible it may be 2005's Star Wars Chronicles: The Prequels, unless the fish appears elsewhere. -- Riffsyphon1024 07:24, January 19, 2012 (UTC)
      • Well as far as we know the first time was Chronicles then. Still needed to be marked. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 18:24, January 20, 2012 (UTC)
        • Appears to have been fixed. -- Riffsyphon1024 10:15, January 21, 2012 (UTC)
Toprawa
  • TPM really shouldn't be used as a source for their non-sentience, since they have no role in the film other than as background decor. For all we know, they could very well be sentient. It's an obvious assumption that they aren't, but that's the point: we shouldn't be drawing assumptive conclusions. If a source can't be provided that actually says they are non-sentient, I would recommend removing that assertion altogether.
    • The weird thing is that this is the only scalefish that does not appear in The Wildlife of Star Wars: A Field Guide which would otherwise indicate that this was a creature and not a sentient species, so it is really unknown. -- Riffsyphon1024 10:15, January 21, 2012 (UTC)
  • Additionally, discussion of their sentience level should be one of the first things mentioned in the Description section, though this point may become moot based on the previous objection.
  • If the doo's name was first revealed in the Chronicles book, that should be detailed in the BTS. Toprawa and Ralltiir 22:32, January 20, 2012 (UTC)
    • I added a small note at the end of the Chronicles mention. -- Riffsyphon1024 10:15, January 21, 2012 (UTC)
  • Also, like in the ray article, might we move that body image into the Description section, as opposed to being pushed into the BTS? Toprawa and Ralltiir 22:35, January 20, 2012 (UTC)
    • That can be done. -- Riffsyphon1024 10:15, January 21, 2012 (UTC)
Jujiggum
  • Just one thing: you mention in the intro that "The doo was less colorful than most species of scalefish…" but this isn't brought up anywhere in the main body. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 20:11, January 27, 2012 (UTC)
    • Ugh. I just realized that line was part of the original article, uncited and all. I don't even know where that comes from to be honest. I'll go ahead and remove it if that doesn't make the intro too small. -- Riffsyphon1024 23:21, January 27, 2012 (UTC)

  • Just thought I'd drop a note here that these fish are in The Phantom Menace: The Expanded Visual Dictionary. Strange as it may seem, Doo is not one of the fish featured. However, the other ones—ray, mee, faa, see, laa, and tee—are all in there, and with new info. The new information is minor but is important enough to get added into the articles, including the one you already got to Good status. Although the book does not mention doo specifically, I think the info is intended to be for all these musical fish. If you don't have access to the book and need to know what it says, let me know.—Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 02:47, January 22, 2012 (UTC)
    • That would be greatly appreciated if you or someone else who owns the book could forward that information to me. -- Riffsyphon1024 06:55, January 23, 2012 (UTC)
      • It's actually pretty minor. Pretty much the new information that you'd have to add in is this: They were drawn to the underwater Gungan city by the lights, but the knew by experience that they should not go through the jelly stuff because of the air inside. That's about the extent of it, but it is something new.—Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 16:10, January 23, 2012 (UTC)
        • Threw this in on doo, as well as ray and mee. -- Riffsyphon1024 05:19, January 24, 2012 (UTC)
