Ciasi

  • Nominated by: Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 18:30, February 4, 2014 (UTC)
  • Nomination comments:This one will probably have the same hangups as Slide Paramita along the way. But it could be an interesting challenge. Also, sentient species in general should be fun to work on further.

  • For some reason, you have additional space after each full stop. Fix this.
    • I, think I fixed this? Editing it looks rather cluttered now, so I'm not sure if this is what you meant.
      • Nope, still there. And apparently it's not only after full stops. Winterz (talk) 20:11, February 16, 2014 (UTC)
      • Winterz was referring to the double spacing after periods. I fixed it. Trip391 (talk) 20:23, February 16, 2014 (UTC)
        • Ah, that' again. --Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 22:04, February 16, 2014 (UTC)
  • You're missing a reference in the infobox for the Ciasi's homeworld.
  • Regarding said homeworld, is it ever referred to, directly or indirectly? Winterz (talk) 00:00, February 16, 2014 (UTC)
    • I sorta just created the homeworld page for the BtS section. I wasn't entirely sure if it's even appropriate or not. --Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 16:58, February 16, 2014 (UTC)
      • Well then it wasn't ever referred to and with that said, I've put up the matter to other ACs for a second opinion and it was decided that such void has no need for an article. Hope that's okay with you. Now please, fix the article accordingly ;). Winterz (talk) 20:11, February 16, 2014 (UTC)
        • Fixed. --Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 22:04, February 16, 2014 (UTC)
Exiled Jedi
  • "Some Ciasi were notably thin." and "Some Ciasi displayed athletic prowess both physically and mentally" In cases where there is only one example, you should say something along the lines of "at least one." Saying some indicates that there are multiple examples when in fact there is only one that we know of.
    • Tried a hand with it, how does it look?
  • In the biology and appearances section, please group up the information about their legs rather than including other information between the two sentences.
    • Ah, alright.
  • "where they were held only a few inches off of the ground." If inches is not used in the original source, you should change it to say something like "slightly above the ground."
    • Fixed.
  • "The Ciasi evolved on a world located somewhere in the galaxy..." I noticed that the Ciasi homeworld was deleted; is there any thing that says they were from a planet. They could have been genetically engineered in a space station for all we know.
    • The idea of a homeworld is just from the fact they used to have Tund before it was reassigned. Otherwise who knows. Removed and changed, because maybe the Kaminoians tried a hand at making something from scratch.
  • Just checking, but can the 32 BBY date be sourced to the game?
    • I sourced the date to the Chronology, as that mentions that timeframe around the Battle of Naboo and what not. The game never explicitly states the year during the game.
  • "However, the blog entry was not considered canon at the time, due to the fact that the information may have come from older material that was never finalized." I thought that Veekhoven was just a fan at this point and did not have an official standing.
  • It seems to me that saying: "using material that may have come from early draft material for The Phantom Menace." and "canonizing Paramita's species that may have come from the old draft information." is speculation. Either we know that information came from old drafts or we don't.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 03:02, February 23, 2014 (UTC)
    • Yah this has been a cog for some of these Podracer guys. Okay, so what I know and remember from talking to Tim: He doesn't like the idea of fanon becoming canon, but he doesn't believe he pulled those names from thin air. He's guessing that he got his hands on some background info either from an old script or some other source (Just speculating, possibly even from the game's creators, who would probably have the information too). So, no. We really don't know. I was just advised before to note that they, the names, may of come from an old script or draft information. However, the art exists, the names had to had come from somewhere, but George God only knows. --Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 15:03, March 4, 2014 (UTC)

  • Since I'm no native speaker of English, I wouldn't entirely trust my judgement here, but... The BTS uses twice the phrase "that may of come from..." Is that grammatically correct? Don't you mean "that may have come from?" --Lelal Mekha Old Republic military symbol (Audience Room) 20:34, February 16, 2014 (UTC)
    • I believe you are correct, actually. --Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 22:04, February 16, 2014 (UTC)
