I don't see any need for subsectioning.- The subsection means there's room for two images in the bio, otherwise the first one overlaps with the infobox. Although I'd usually leave three paragraphs unsubsectioned I don't think it's excessive to do so and I'd say overall it benefits the reader more to leave it and keep the image. The sectioning currently feels a little arbitrary with only 3 paragraphs in the body. I would prefer if it was eliminated entirely.- The sectioning allows for the image in the first paragraph as otherwise it overlaps with the infobox. While I usually wouldn't section three paragraphs, there's nothing forbidding it and I think overall the article and reader benefits more from the image being included then it would from being unsectioned. "with a black helmet, gloves, a belt, and brown boots" — this doesn't clearly say that the gloves and belt were black as well.
