  • Just to hit the point home, every appearance and source must be checked for info before an article can reach any sort of status. An article with as many appearances to check as this one should be a months-long project, easliy. You can't just make a couple of small edits to an article and then nominate it. You need to ensure that you have everything in there. In addition, this article has some unsourced paragraphs and a broken reference. It's nowhere near ready to be nominated. As you've been active on the GAN page for a while now, I would have thought that you understood this. Menkooroo 07:17, August 10, 2011 (UTC)

  • I'm agreed with everything said above. This article has no History section, which should mention every time a bowcaster was used in the Star Wars galaxy. As a result, that history section would easily be over 5,000 words. I'm sorry Talrrivianian, but this articles is nowhere near passing anytime soon. I appreciate that you're trying to help out the barn-burner, but before you nominate an article, actually write the article. You have voted on a number of GANs so far these past couple of weeks. If you truly reviewed the articles, you would see what it takes to be a Good Article. In the future, try finding a smaller article to write, one with one or two sources that you have actually read and understood, and then nominate that article after giving it a complete rewrite so that it meets all the qualities fitting of a Good Article.   1. ACvote I think it's clear that no matter what happens, this nomination won't pass. As stated above, the article is far from complete, and it fails to meet multiple nomination rules. Talrrivanian, if you are dedicated to working on this article, you'll need to do a lot of work before you can nominate it—adding two references doesn't cut it when there is much to be done. Should you do all the needed work, the FAN page would be a far more appropriate place to nominate this article.   2. ACvote Agreed. Regardless if the nominator is dedicated to working on this or not, keeping it on the GAN page for that length of time is impractical. Take it to a subpage if you want to work on it and come back when you're really ready. Toprawa and Ralltiir 20:46, August 10, 2011 (UTC)
