Judging by the article for the Marvel annual, the Marvel.com date is completely off.- Marvel.com is the only one I can access, and I don't see any reason to distrust it, it's an annual after all.
- Comic book websites (and sites such as SW.com's Cargo Bay and Amazon) frequently give the first of a month when the actual date isn't known. Whereas you'll see Marvel Age is quite commonly cited in articles on subjects from older comic books.
