Battle of unidentified planet (Skywalker and Tano)

  • Nominated by: CC7567 (talk) 20:43, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
  • Nomination comments: So much for a story arc without "unexpected, minor battles that aren't even named properly".

  1. From the Council Chambers:
    • Just one: both images have a speech bubble that is cut off, and according to our image policy, the text in those two bubbles must be removed. The intact bubbles should retain the text inside.
      • ...Addressed. You're probably going to have to reset your cache to see it. CC7567 (talk) 05:27, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
        • Not quite. You removed the text from all of the bubbles; only the two that were cut off (the one in the upper left of each image) should have the text removed. The bubbles that are fully intact must retain the text inside per policy. —Master Jonathan(Jedi Council Chambers) 05:37, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
          • Addressed after IRC discussion. —Master Jonathan(Jedi Council Chambers) 06:14, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
    • Otherwise, good job. —Master Jonathan(Jedi Council Chambers) 05:07, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

    • These aren't objections as such, but I'm inquiring about the capitalisation of viceroy and clone captain in the article. The viceroy seems to refer specifically to Gunray. Clone Captain seems to be capitalised, but its article isn't. You've also written clone sergeant in lower case. SoresuMakashi(Everything I tell you is the truth) 02:56, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
      • It depends how they're being used. If it's being used to address someone, then yes, it's "Viceroy Gunray" and "Clone Captain Rex". However, if it's referred to simply as a subject without being addressed by name, it's simply "captain", "viceroy" or "sergeant" without capitalization. I have to admit, though, the Wook isn't consistent with it. CC7567 (talk) 02:59, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
  3. How you get these crappy little articles up to 250 words I'll never know. One thing, you should call Gunray a Neimoidian when you first mention him, because you later say, "...the Neimoidian would not last long under Jedi interrogation..." Even though most people would know Gunray's a Neimoidian, some might not.Kilson Likes PIE 02:37, 06 July 09 (UTC)
    • I don't believe that's necessary; it would be too much context for Gunray at once, and it's already heavily implied with the way Neimoidian is used. CC7567 (talk) 06:24, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
      • That Gunray is Neimoidian is movie canon. I think we can assume knowledge of movie canon in our readers. Also, it's pretty much irrelevant that he's Neimoidian to begin with, so maybe that could just be dropped. Graestan(Talk) 01:40, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
  4. Content of the Aftermath section seems largely irrelevant to the battle itself. In all honesty, I believe it should go, but I can live with it being pared down considerably. Graestan(Talk) 01:40, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
    • Addressed; thanks, Grae. Please let me know if more is necessary. CC7567 (talk) 04:02, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Comments

  1. Shouldn't the name of the article be Battle of unidentified planet (Clone Wars) instead of Skywalker and Tano? :P JangFett Talk 22:11, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
    • No, because it already exists and because of the others that appeared in CW Chapter 1. CC7567 (talk) 22:39, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
      • I see. JangFett Talk 22:47, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
