"She seemed to have a firmly anti-Jedi sentiment": please detail how; otherwise, it's speculation.CC7567 (talk) 03:43, 31 August 2009 (UTC)- Better? Thanks again, CC. Jonjedigrandmaster (Jedi Beacon) 12:00, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
Just one thing: I can't remember, but was it actually confirmed that the Jedi used a mind trick to convince her to sign the document granting them access to the blockhouse?Grand Moff Tranner(Comlink) 20:27, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
- Well, the Jedi never outright said, "We used a mind trick on her", but yeah, the dialogue for the quote in the P&t, as well as the dialogue afterwards (on pg 212, if you want to check), really leaves no question that they did (they go on to taunt Daala for hiring "weak-minded judges, and she mocks them in turn for their disregard for the law). I can remove it if you really think it's too speculative, but first I'd reread pages 211-213, which leave no doubt in my mind they used a mind trick on Lorteli. - Hmm, I'm not sure about this. While it the dialogue does seem to indicate that Lorteli was Force-persuaded, it still is speculation. I'm gonna think about this for a bit. Grand Moff Tranner

- Not an objection, but do you think it might be a good idea to elaborate on how the Jedi essentially caught Daala calling her judge weak-minded? Chack Jadson (Talk) 11:54, September 5, 2009 (UTC)
- Hmm. I could try, but to do so I would have to bring in a lot of detail that sways from the subject of Lorteli. Jonjedigrandmaster (Jedi Beacon) 14:06, September 5, 2009 (UTC)
- I could add the following to the end of the second Bio paragraph: "Daala arrived on the scene shortly after the Jedi found the Horns, and insulted the Jedi for their disregard for the law by using mind tricks. The Jedi, however, pointed out that there should not be weak-minded judges in the courts, and journalist Javis Tyrr, one of the many members of the press who had come with the Jedi to the blockhouse, added that it was Lorteli who had signed the document. He then asked if it was true that Daala had been the one to appoint Lorteli, and the Chief of State confirmed this, adding that she believed Lorteli to be competent." My main concern is that this doesn't really add to Lorteli's character, more to Daala, Tyrr, and the Jedi. Jonjedigrandmaster (Jedi Beacon) 04:03, September 7, 2009 (UTC)
