I've added a redlink to their village/clearing. As this in in the intro it will need to be stubbed even if the articles will not be huge. Could we also get an image of their village, even if the quality is not great? There is room for it in the Soc and cul section. --Eyrezer 22:19, March 24, 2010 (UTC)- I did my best. Let me know what you think. ~ SavageBob 23:59, March 24, 2010 (UTC)
- Skippy and the WookieeProject: Endor Species
Each Skandit had two white eyes. While the sclera is white, they do seem to have a black iris and/or pupil, which should deserve mentionContext on the first mention of the Jindas. Also, were the Jindas friends with the jailed Ewoks, allies, owed to them or something? Apparently they staged a rescue for some reason. Maybe it could deserve a mention: "The Jindas, who were secretly allies to the Ewok prisoners".Per quote in Skandits' home: Skanditos? That deserves some mention.- Yub, yub! --Skippy Farlstendoiro 08:53, March 25, 2010 (UTC)
- 2, 3, and 4 done. The "Skandito" thing is presumably a joke on Bondo's part, but I added it in a fashion so that it doesn't preclude the possibility that the Jindas really do call the species "Skanditos" rather than "Skandits." Perhaps they call Ewoks "los Ewokitos?" (I know next to no Spanish! :)) As for the eyes, I'm hesitant to go into too much detail on it; the Ewoks in the cartoon also have typical white/black cartoon eyes, even though in ROTJ, they have irises. It's hard to tell whether to chalk it up to artistic license or take or as fact. Plus, having a black pupil is identical to 90% of other SW species, so I'd call it one of those things that doesn't need to be explicitly mentioned, maybe. Oh, and as for #5, Beechawawa! ~ SavageBob 17:21, March 26, 2010 (UTC)

- Looks great. I'm just wondering --- you call ground "Earth" at one point. Is this common practice, or is it generally recommended to use a synonym such as "dirt"? I'm pretty sure that a whole buncha official sources use "Earth", so it's probably no big deal, but I'm just curious as to your take on it. Menkooroo 06:13, March 24, 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm. Interesting question. I didn't even think about it, but I searched a digital collection of novels to be sure and came up with at least 35 sources that use the word earth to mean dirt. For example, from Episode I Adventures: The Fury of Darth Maul: "He looked at the Sith Infiltrator, resting on a flat level of earth at a safe distance from the smoldering stones," and this one from Children of the Jedi: "Gorgeous, filmy-winged insects blossomed up from the grass around them as if the warm earth itself had hurled handfuls of celebratory confetti." At any rate, it does seem to be an acceptable word, but if people want me to change it to dirt, I can do that too. :) ~ SavageBob 06:31, March 24, 2010 (UTC)
