Qeimet system

  • Nominated by: Imperators II(Talk) 20:00, April 17, 2018 (UTC)
  • Nomination comments: It was in this desolate area of deep space where the audience back in 1980 first saw the Executor, and, even more importantly, first heard "The Imperial March." Thanks go to Ayrehead, Tommy, Clonehunter, and Omicron for helping out with the sources and with the article itself, and, of course, to Toprawa for writing up the Executor. • Any article for the fight against the Rebels in the Hook Nebula?
    • There is one now. Imperators II(Talk) 18:35, April 25, 2018 (UTC)
  • I had a glance at Moff Kintaro's article, and from that page I got the impression that the character wasn't involved until 19 BBY, but here you put his involvement at the start of the war. So which is more accurate?
    • Good point. The Essential Guide to Warfare doesn't present information on the Sector Armies in the clearest of fashions, but the gist is that each priority sector had a Governor-General during the Clone Wars, which became Moffs at the end of the conflict. I've corrected the article accordingly. Imperators II(Talk) 18:35, April 25, 2018 (UTC)
  • Might be worth adding the author and year of publication for the Special Military Unit Intelligence Update. Commander Code-8 Felicitations malefactors! 05:04, April 25, 2018 (UTC)
    • I've added the year, but I don't believe the author's name is essential there. Imperators II(Talk) 18:35, April 25, 2018 (UTC)
Tommy
  • "eliminating the forces of the Rebel Alliance within that sector.[5]" Could you possibly rephrase this so it's more clear the sector you're referring to the nebula itself (I assume).
    • Please take a look. Imperators II(Talk) 12:46, August 1, 2018 (UTC)
  • "TIE bombers[9] and numerous[9] TIE fighters,[10]" Please remove the duplicate ref, and couldn't this all be sourced to ESB? Tommy Imperial Emblem Macaroni 20:35, July 31, 2018 (UTC)
    • Well-spotted. Revised. Imperators II(Talk) 12:46, August 1, 2018 (UTC)

  • Can we add a quote from the Imperial Sourcebook regarding the broadcast incident? Since it is presented as an IU document, I beleve we can use it as a source of quotes for the article. QuiGonJinn Senate seal(Talk) 06:31, August 23, 2018 (UTC)
    • Excellent point. Added. Imperators II(Talk) 20:28, August 23, 2018 (UTC)

  • "As Imperial Admiral Kendal Ozzel and General Maximilian Veers were entering the[9] main control deck[12] on the bridge of the Executor,[9] the Dark Lord of the Sith[12] Darth Vader's[9] Executor-class Star Dreadnought serving as the flagship of the fleet,[13] Captain Firmus Piett,[9] having waited until Vader was on the bridge,[14] informed Ozzel of a fragmentary report transmitted by a probe droid, one of thousands dispatched by the Empire in order to locate the Rebel base, from the supposedly uninhabited Hoth system." Holy mother of long sentences. Please split this one up. 1358 (Talk) 21:01, September 1, 2018 (UTC)
    • Split it up. Imperators II(Talk) 18:10, September 2, 2018 (UTC)

  • In the Sources list...
    • Please check whether that Insider 49 article shouldn't italicize the film's name in its title.
      • Unfortunately, the only three variations of the article's title present in the issue use either: a) paraphrased wording (in the ToC), b) the stylized logo of ESB as part of its title, or c) all-caps. It would make complete sense to me to have it italicized, however; would you like me to format it anyway? Imperators II(Talk) 12:15, September 11, 2018 (UTC)
        • Yes, I think that would be reasonable to do. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 18:10, September 11, 2018 (UTC)
          • Done. Imperators II(Talk) 09:37, September 12, 2018 (UTC)
    • Hanzo and I have taken to treating IMO/PO sources as default full mentions in other articles, without the need to add the long-winded "Indirect mention and picture only" or something similar. I would suggest doing the same here.
      • Changed. Imperators II(Talk) 12:15, September 11, 2018 (UTC)
    • The "Star Wars Mysteries" Blog article should use the current SW.com citation template, as it has been transferred over to the new site design. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 14:10, September 7, 2018 (UTC)
      • Of course; done. Imperators II(Talk) 12:15, September 11, 2018 (UTC)
  • I think you've got a misinterpretation in the article, which refers to Kintaro as a Governor-General. Having written Kintaro's article and having some familiarity with this source material, I don't believe this is necessarily correct. Warfare (page 97, second paragraph) explains that Palpatine appointed Governor-Generals during the war, and that these Governor-Generals transitioned into a permanent class of regional governors in the final days of the Republic. These regional governors, who became the first Imperial Grand Moffs, are the ones listed on pages 99-101, which includes Kintaro. But these 20 individuals are not necessarily the same Governor-Generals. There are three successive ranks here: Governor-General > Regional governor > Grand Moff. We know the regional governors become the Grand Moffs, but we don't necessarily know the Governor-Generals were all the same people. This long-winded explanation being said, you can revise this in the article by simply changing "Governor-General" to "Kintaro, regional governor of the Sarin Oversector," since that's his latest Republic rank anyways. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 15:05, September 7, 2018 (UTC)
    • Changed it to "Moff." Imperators II(Talk) 21:50, September 15, 2018 (UTC)
  • I'd like to see that first paragraph of the History tucked into a subsection. As an added bonus, it will help that image fit a little nicer too. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 15:05, September 7, 2018 (UTC)
    • How's that? Imperators II(Talk) 09:37, September 12, 2018 (UTC)
  • Going along with the Kintaro thing, I think the article should make some kind of mention of the fact that Kintaro eventually became Grand Moff of the Sarin Oversector once the Republic transitioned into the Empire. He also moved his headquarters to Talofan (which is to say that he was no longer based at Qeimet), which you may also consider mentioning.
    • I've opted to add both facts to the Republic section, despite the fact that the info is not presented strictly chronologically that way. Imperators II(Talk) 23:44, September 15, 2018 (UTC)
  • Which is it, by or for? "...in a report prepared by for the ISB Central Office"
    • It's by the ISB for the ISB. :P Seriously though, it's "for." Corrected accordingly. Imperators II(Talk) 09:37, September 12, 2018 (UTC)
  • I find this contextual description to be missing the point of explaining the significance of Death Squadron. Please reword this to note the fact that this is Darth Vader's personal Star Destroyer fleet, explicitly tasked with hunting down the Rebel base as part of Vader's personal quest to locate his Jedi son, Luke Skywalker: "an Imperial fleet consisting of six Star Destroyers,[2] a convoy of smaller starships as well as[8] TIE bombers and numerous TIE fighters..."
    • I'd like to see these objections handled up to this point before continuing my review. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 15:23, September 7, 2018 (UTC)
      • Added the wider context. Imperators II(Talk) 14:57, September 16, 2018 (UTC)
  • Backing up a little bit in the article, I don't believe this statement is accurate. "When the first campaigns of the Clone Wars were waged between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems in 22 BBY, the Qeimet system served as headquarters for Moff Kintaro of the Sarin Oversector." We know that the position of Republic Moff was not created until the Sector Governance Decree, which the ROTS novelization dates to near the conclusion of the war, or 19 BBY. Recommend reading through the first Bio paragraph of the Kintaro article. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 22:19, September 19, 2018 (UTC)
    • Good point. Please take a look. Imperators II(Talk) 21:16, September 21, 2018 (UTC)
