Since this is a "canon" article and the only other Perry is from Legends, I believe per the Naming policy that this article would get precedence for the name and not use a parenthetical descriptor in the title.CometSmudge (talk) 03:37, 17 August 2025 (UTC)- This is a pretty unique situation, and the naming policy doesn't have anything on cross-continuity non-canon stuff. Frankly, I'm partial to the article that is at least canon to one continuity getting precedence over the article that is canon to neither of them. Also, this article is very barely related to the new canon because the special it's from released smack dab in the middle of 2014. If it had released just three months earlier before the April Legends split announcement it would've been in the Legends section, and still would've been non-canon to that. (also since it came out before A New Dawn there's an argument for it belonging in the legends section anyway, but I think that doesn't matter because it came out after the split announcement and was made by proper Disney Disney). I'm also personally just sort of partial to the Perry (Platypus) title for the character known as Perry (the) Platypus. I haven't seen the special in the while, could the hand-to-hand combat Perry and Darthenshmirtz engage in be elaborated on? Also, do we know what exactly Perry was doing while messing with the Sith-inator after removing the panel?- Almost all of the attacking on Perry's part happens just out of frame (presumably for comedic effect and ease of animation). What we do see (the kicking and in-betweens) is already described. For 'messing,' we see him press random buttons(?) and pull something, but it's not very clear and I think conveying his intention/overall action is what's important.
